Day 1

Pick up and transfer to lake Mburo for night game drive

Pick up and transfer to lake Mburo for night game drive

On this day, we will pick you up from your hotel and we drive heading southwards through the lash greens and
endless plains of south western Uganda with several interesting photographic stops including at the Equator
and continue to check in our lodge for your hot lunch as you prepare for the afternoon boat cruise on the lake
Mburo. After a 2/3-hour boat, you have a game drive as you search for antelopes, giraffes, Zebras, buffaloes,
hyenas, leopards and many bird species that have recorded here. Dinner and overnight Optional night game drive in increase on our chances of sighting the leopards and other nocturnal animals.

Enjoy a walking safari with an armed ranger guide in search of wildlife in this park that covers 370 square kilometers but one of the most amazing parks famous for the density of antelopes, Zebras and 340 bird species that have recorded here. After your walking safari, we drive to Queen Elizabeth park for our late afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at the edge of the park.

Day 3

After your early breakfast, you will drive for 20 minutes to reach your chimpanzee tracking point for an exceptional encounter with man’s closest living relative with whom we share about 99% DNA. You will be led by the UWA guides who understands the forest very well as you search for these great apes. After they have been sighted, you will be allowed to view them for one hour as they go on with their daily lives. We recommend you carry some drinking water, quick snacks and off course this being a tropical rain forest, you must carry your rain gear. After the encounter with chimpanzees, we drive back to the lodge for a hot lunch.

Afternoon, we take a boat cruise on Kazinga channel famous for high density of hippos and to discover more about the water species or meet those that come to relax or drink water in the afternoon. We use the katunguru community boat to support the local communities who are guides and local fishermen. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After your breakfast, we will depart from Queen Elizabeth national park and drive towards the southern most parts of Uganda. The road trip is both scenic and wild as you traverse through the rural villages of Kigezi region. Depending on where you gorilla permits have been booked, you will have lunch en route and proceed to overnight at the edge of the forest.

En route to Bwindi we will have a short game drive in Ishasha to see if we can find some lions in trees and other wildlife in this sector before proceeding to your lodge. (Please note that this day’s routing and accommodation may change depending on which sector has gorilla availability at the time of booking).

Day 5

After breakfast, you will have short drive to the UWA briefing center where you will be taken through the dos, don’ts while tracking gorillas. After you have been allocated a gorilla family in a group of 8 Pax, you will be led by ranger guides off the forest to search for the gorillas. When gorillas have been located, you will have one full hour viewing them as they go on with their daily lives at a distance of 7-10 meters. Later transfer from Bwindi to lake Bunyonyi for overnight. Day 6

Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe

Transfer from Lake Bunyonyi to Entebbe

After a relaxed breakfast, have optional activities on the lake arranged and organized at the lodge. Later transfer back to Entebbe with a hot lunch en route, shopping for souvenirs at the equator and proceed to drop off at the airport. (The tour can as well end in Kigali with just 4 hours of transfer and flights ending in Entebbe must be 19:00hrs and on words).
