Day 2

The Giraffe centre

The Giraffe centre

On this second day of your safari, you will enjoy your sleep till late morning, have a full breakfast leisurely at the hotel in the morning, and get ready for a pick-up to begin your tour of the day at 10:30 am. You will drive to the Nairobi Giraffe Centre which was established to protect the vulnerable giraffe that is found only in the grasslands of East Africa. The main attraction for visitors is feeding giraffes from a raised observation platform. The Giraffe Center is also home to several warthogs which freely roam the area along with the giraffes. You will spend one hour here and proceed to the famous Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage at noon. Enjoy your lunch at Karen Blixen Museum or Carnivore Hotel at your cost and return to your hotel to rest in the afternoon till evening as you enjoy the hotel facilities. Dinner and overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 3

Nairobi to Masai Mara

Nairobi to Masai Mara

After a hearty breakfast, you will depart for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya's famous game reserve. The reserve is world-famous for its incredible density of wildlife and during the Great Migration (July – October) an unending torrent of gazelle, wildebeest, and zebra streaming into the park. All of Africa’s Big Five are here and so much more animals. Arrive at the park with a game drive to your Lodge since the lodge is located inside the park. After the fantastic entrance, you will check into your lodge, have lunch leisurely at the camp, and then enjoy an afternoon game drive to track elephants, leopards, cheetahs, lions, and buffaloes. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

After your morning breakfast, you will proceed for a morning game drive, you will later break for a short rest and lunch, and then embark on an afternoon game drive. Reliable rains and plentiful vegetation underpin this extraordinary ecosystem and the millions of herbivores it supports. You will go in search of the Big Five with game drives across the grassy plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve. You will have an opportunity to drive down to the Mara River, the site of the Great Migration when in season – July through October. At the river, we’ll see hippos but also camouflaged in their natural habitat we’ll spot the many crocodiles awaiting the wildlife traversing the river. This is a spectacle that has played out for millennia. To bring more texture to your experience at the Mara, you may want to experience a visit to the local Maasai people in their nearby village at an extra cost. Meet these indigenous people and see up close their ancient lifestyle and culture.

Day 5

You will be picked up early morning from the lodge at 5:15 am for an unforgettable sight. You will take a predawn hot air balloon ride (which is optional) high above the reserve as the morning light breaks across the golden savannah and witness the herds of wildlife emerging into the day. After the one-hour safari in the air, you will enjoy a remarkable bush breakfast, have a short rest, and proceed for a mid-morning drive in the park. With a picnic lunch, you will spend a full day exploring this unique park which forms the northern part of the famous Serengeti National Park. This will be a day of unlimited game drives for you to explore the depth and breadth of this famous park.

Day 6

Masai mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

You'll wake up early morning for a final drive in the park, this will be the best opportunity to undertake any activity you missed or spot the animals you have not seen. You will return to the lodge for your breakfast and depart with a hot picnic lunch en route to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in the afternoon. You will arrive with a game drive en route to your hotel, check in, have a short rest, and proceed to your afternoon game drive till sunset. Lake Nakuru National Park is a fascinating mix of dazzling birdlife with the more traditional land-based safari wildlife. There’s a rhino sanctuary that features a large population of white and black rhinos. You can also find the rare Rothschild’s giraffe feeding in the park’s acacia forests. Other surprises move over its shores and through its woodlands – waterbucks, hyenas, baboons, and monkeys.
