Day 1

Nairobi-Masai Mara National Reserve

Nairobi-Masai Mara National Reserve

After all the time you've spent planning and dreaming about going on safari, this is where it finally starts. We will meet you at the airport on arrival and explain everything you need to know and answer any questions you might have about your safari. We will then head to Masai Mara national park, about 5 hours drives where you will arrive in the evening, check in to your hotel, energize and relax as you wait to start your safari the next day.

Welcome to one of the best safari destinations in Kenya. Here in the Masai Mara National Reserve, you're almost certain to see lions, hyenas, hippos, elephants, giraffes, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas and zebras, not to mention the more-than-500 species of birds that have been recorded here. There's also a good chance you'll encounter leopards and cheetahs. Another memorable thing about visiting the Masai Mara is the landscape of vast savannah grasslands with plenty of flat-topped acacia trees.

Day 2

Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve

You will have breakfast at the camp and proceed for a morning game drive. Lunch boxes will be ready for a full day. You will embark on an afternoon game drive in the reserve until sunset. Masai Mara offers a unique variety of animals. This hilly region is both humid and fertile as the rivers Mara and Talek carry water the whole year round. These rivers are full of crocodiles and hippos, with their banks covered in thick forest which gradually makes way for bush and grassland. The abundance of water and food are the reasons for the Masai Mara hosting so many animals. The Masai Mara is a continuance of the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park and has the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. There is a particularly dramatic spectacle, the annual migration of huge herds of Wildebeest and zebras, that takes place between July and November.
Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the Emayian Luxury Camp.

The Mara is the land of African legend, Lion which is abundant throughout the park, as are elephants, giraffes, and a variety of gazelle species and zebra. Cheetah and leopard are also regularly seen and, less commonly, rhino. The annual wildebeest migration, one of nature's few remaining wildlife spectacles, occurs in the Mara from July to November where the big animals and their predators are to be present in abundance. Several species of bee-eater, the flying rainbow that heads the list of Mara's birds, occur in the reserve.
