You will arrive in Arusha where you will meet your guide. Arusha is the safari capital of Tanzania — nestled below Mount Meru and close to Mount Kilimanjaro. The town was built by the Germans as a center of colonial administration and because of its temperate climate, Arusha is a good spot to take a day or two off from your safari.

Arusha to Tarangire National Park
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel in Arusha by our personal safari guide. You’ll then cover about a 120km (roughly two hours) distance end route to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire National Park is well known for its large elephant herds and a multitude of other creatures. You’ll experience the seasonal swamps, savannah, and life-giving Tarangire River that act as the magnet for animals during the dry season. You will strive to encounter as many animals as possible, including zebras, wildebeest, buffalos, elephants, and giraffes (to name a few). You may also glimpse lions and leopards. Our professional guide will choose a suitable picnic spot for a delicious lunch before you finish the game drive until sunset. In the evening, you will be transferred to one of our carefully selected hotel partners for dinner and your overnight stay.

Serengeti National Park
You'll experience the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onward to Serengeti National Park (which you will reach by afternoon). Our professional guide will pick a good time to have lunch and some drinks amidst the scenery. Serengeti National Park is known for its healthy stock of resident wildlife, particularly the Big Five, which are so named because they are the five most prized animal trophies sought after by hunters. The Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa (roughly 3,000) due to the abundance of prey that lives here the African leopard, a reclusive predator, is commonly seen in the Seronera region but is present throughout the park. Its population is estimated to be about 1,000. After the game drive, you will head to your accommodations for dinner and your overnight stay.

Central Serengeti National Park
You'll start your full-day game drive by 8 am. After a filling breakfast, you will explore the central portion of the Serengeti National Park today. The legendary Serengeti National Park is the most renowned safari destination for its incredible population of lions and leopards. The central portion of the Serengeti known as the Seronera area is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, which provides a valuable water source to this area and therefore attracts wildlife well representative of most of the Serengeti’s species. During the off-season of the migration, one must look out for the many lion pride that thrive in this region. The interactions and survival of these lion prides provide an excellent wildlife-viewing experience all year round. Along with a picnic lunch during the full-day game drive, the day will come to a close by around 5 pm. The long day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, you’ll depart from the camp with a picnic lunch in hand en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This area is located west of Arusha City within the Crater Highlands geological area of northern Tanzania. Once you arrive at the edge of the crater, you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day: glistening streams, open grassland, and an infinite number of animals. In the crater, there is a high possibility of spotting all the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), depending on the day. During the afternoon, you will be served lunch and then go on an afternoon game drive until your allotted time runs out. Your dinner and your overnight stay will be at the campsite.

Ngorongoro Crater
After a hot breakfast in the morning, you’ll go on a tour of a local Maasai boma. The Maasai people are a pastoral group that has kept much of their traditional lifestyle. During the visit, you may learn about Maasai culture. You can also partake in local activities like singing and dancing, herding cattle, milling cattle and goats, and creating fires with animal dung and acacia trees. Your lunch will be at a place chosen by your guide. You’ll also have time to take photos and purchase authentic Maasai handcrafts.
