3-Day Rwanda and Gorilla Trekking Safari

Arrival in Kigali

Upon arrival in Kigali, our Likana Safari driver-guide will pick you-up and brief you on the details of your 3-day safari. He will then transfer you to your booked accomodation in Kiagali City for an overnight, suppose you arrive in the night.

After your breakfast, You'll, enjoya city tour, visiting the National Museum, the Genocide Memorial Center and Kigali Convention Centre. After lunch, you'll continue then head north to Volcanoes National Park, located 80 km from Kigali City.
If time allows you will the Dian Fossy Gorilla Fund to learn more about the Endangered Mountain Gorillas.

Later, you check-in your accomodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking and Community Walks

Begin your day with an early, delicious breakfast before heading to the park headquarters for an early morning briefing. Then, set out on the exhilarating gorilla trekking adventure. This activity can be physically demanding, taking anywhere from 1 to 6 hours, and allows you to spend up to 1 hour with the gorillas, observing their playful interactions, feeding habits, and social dynamics. During the trek, you may also encounter golden monkeys, elephants, buffaloes, and various bird species.
After your trek, return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, choose between visiting the beautiful Twin Lakes, Burera and Ruhondo, exploring the local community to enjoy traditional dances, or simply relaxing at your lodge.

Departure

Start your day early with a delicious breakfast before checking out from the lodge. Your driver-guide will then transfer you to Kigali city, where you'll have some time for shopping at local markets to buy souvenirs. If time permits, you can also visit the pottery project and the Franco-Rwandan cultural center. Enjoy a leisurely lunch before heading to the airport for your return journey home.
