Nairobi to Lake Nakuru via Hell's Gate & Lake Naivasha

You'll be picked up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or your Nairobi hotel by our driver-guide, accompanied by a representative from Beyond the Plains Kenya Safaris. Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive to Hell’s Gate National Park, passing through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, take a guided walk through the unique geological features, including cliffs and gorges. Enjoy a thrilling cycling adventure through the park’s dramatic landscapes, with opportunities for game viewing as you spot zebras, giraffes, and buffaloes. Afterward, head to Lake Naivasha for a relaxing lunch before embarking on a peaceful boat trip on the lake, spotting hippos and birdlife, and a short guided walk.

After the day's activities, continue your journey to Nakuru. Arrive at your lodge and check in. Spend the evening relaxing before dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Lake Nakuru to catch the wildlife in action. Enjoy an extensive game drive with a relaxed picnic lunch in the park around lunchtime. After lunch, head out for Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive in the early evening and check into your lodge or camp. At 17h00, head out for a visit to a local Maasai village to learn about their culture, traditions, and way of life. Return to the lodge for delightful dinner and overnight stay.

Full Day in Masai Mara

This day is packed with exciting wildlife encounters. Start with an early morning game drive to catch the Mara's predators as they hunt in the cool dawn. The Maasai Mara is home to over 95 species of mammals, and it is here that you will catch sight of a pride of lions, cheetahs stalking prey, or large herds of wildebeest and zebras grazing across the landscape. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the beauty of nature, followed by more game drives in the afternoon. Go on a guided walk to learn more about the smaller inhabitants of the ecosystem, and end your day with yet another memorable African sunset. As darkness falls, enjoy a delicious dinner back at your lodge.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast, prepare for departure and check out from the lodge. Depart Masai Mara mid-morning and drive back to Nairobi, enjoying a scenic drive with lunch en route. Upon arrival in Nairobi, visit the famous Giraffe Centre to get up close with the friendly endangered species. In the late afternoon, depending on your schedule, go on a short city sightseeing tour and do some personal shopping if you wish. Our driver-guide will then drop you off at your Nairobi hotel or at the airport for your onward journey.
