Kigali City Tour -Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

You will be picked up by the company driver-guide early morning after your breakfast. You will have a brief meet and greet and learn about your safari. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial museum where you will learn more about Kigali political history and then do a simple city tour.

Then embark on your journey to the Volcanoes National Park. On arrival you will check-in to your respective lodge for refreshment as you wait to be served dinner.

Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Transfer to the National Park for the first Gorilla Trekking. You have to be at RDB’s Office at 7am for a short briefing before you can depart on the adventure. Expect to make some amazing memories trekking these gorillas. At the end of the day, you will return to the hotel for overnight.

Golden Monkeys Trekking

After your morning wake-up call and breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters. Here you will go over Golden Monkeys trekking formalities and get a briefing by the Volcanoes National Park guides. After the Golden Monkey trek, have lunch at the hotel and enjoy the scenery. Overnight at the hotel.

Golden Monkeys Trekking

Before being transferred to Kigali, you will visit the twin lakes of Bulera & Ruhondo. These are beautiful lakes located at the base of the volcano Muhabura and close to the border with Uganda. They are surrounded by steep hills and large waterfalls with a backdrop of the Virunga volcanic mountains. These twin lakes are great spots to visit and used to be referred to as neglected gems. Their deep blue waters ringed by steep hills and tall waterfalls with the outlines of the nearby Virunga Volcanoes provide a spectacular backdrop. Depending on your departure time and if you missed the opportunity on the first day, you will have Kigali city trip including the visit of the Genocide Memorial Centre at Gizozi and an excursion in Kigali town.
