Volcanoes National Park
After breakfast, our local Safari365 guide will collect you at 9:00 am for a visit to the Kigali Genocide Museum. This museum is an educational tour and is located outside of Kigali city center in the Gasabo district, Kigali Genocide Memorial Museum was created by a joint partnership of the Kigali City Council and the UK-based Aegis Trust. The center is challenging, educational, and ultimately inspiring. You will spend about 1.5 hours in the museum and then head off to the Volcanoes National Park.
You will arrive around noon in time to enjoy a hearty lunch at the resort, which is located in the northern province of Rwanda. There is plenty of time to relax in the afternoon or take part in the activities at the property. Virunga Inn Resort offers stylish accommodations with beautiful views of the mountains. Volcanoes National Park
Volcanoes National Park is famous for its endangered mountain gorillas. Today, you'll head to the park headquarters for an early morning gorilla trekking briefing. Then in a group of eight, guided by a trained guide and two scouts, you will embark on treks that vary in duration based on the gorilla family's location. The park offers the chance to see 10 gorilla families.
6:00 am: Begin the day with breakfast.
6:30 am: Transfer to the park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing.
8:00 am: Start the gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park.
Noon: Estimated return time.
12:30 pm: Transfer back to the resort.
1:00 pm: Lunch at the resort.
3:00 pm: Afternoon visit Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Fund Museum.
The Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, adjacent to the park, features sustainable architecture, advanced laboratories, and a conservation library, aiming to inspire visitors to support gorilla conservation.
You'll end with dinner in Rwanda's landscapes at 6:00 pmE.
