Upon arrival, you will be received with a warm welcome by a representative from Mega Wild Safaris. You will be briefed about your safari and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Depart early in the morning and head to Murchison Falls National Park via the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you will have the opportunity to trek rhinos.

The sanctuary houses Uganda’s Rhino Reintroduction Project which is home to 9 white rhinos. Tracking is done on foot and takes about 1 and a half hours. Continue to Masindi Town for lunch and later drive to Murchison Falls National Park.

Day 3

Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Game Drive and Boat Cruise

Early in the morning, embark on a game drive on the Northern bank of the River Nile. You can expect to view elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelopes and many tropical birds.

The guide will help you to spot elephant, lion, Cape buffalo, Rothchild’s giraffe, hartebeest, waterbuck, oribi, bushbuck, bohor reedbuck, hyena, and if you are lucky, leopard.

After lunch, go for a boat ride upstream the calm Victoria Nile to the base of the falls where you will see the River Nile. It is said to be the second-longest river in the world, crushing through a narrow gorge and forming the magnificent Murchison Falls.

You will also view hippos and crocodiles. You may also spot many birds like the goliath heron, Egyptian goose, pelican bee-eater, kingfisher, hornbill, cormorant and the rare shoebill stork.

Day 4

Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Today, you will head to Kibale Forest National Park after breakfast. Drive south via Hoima and enjoy the scenic features of the tea plantations in Fort Portal. You will have a stopover in Fort Portal for lunch. After lunch, you have another hour of driving until you reach the lodge.

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale Forest National Park and Bigodi Community Walk

After breakfast, we visit Kibale Forest National Park. The most famous of its 13 species of primates is the chimpanzee. It is also home to species like the rare L’Hoest’s monkey, the black-and-white colobus, the blue monkey, the grey-cheeked mangabey, the red-tailed monkey and the olive baboon among others.

After lunch, go for a Bigodi Swamp Walk where you may see a variety of bird species and other smaller mammals. The walk takes 2 to 3 hours.

Day 6

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, proceed to Queen Elizabeth National Park where you’ll spot the ranges of Mount Rwenzori en route. As you go through the game park, you may spot some animals like elephant, buffalo, bushbuck, Uganda kob, antelope, and warthog among others.

After lunch, enjoy the unique 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. It is a 42 km channel that joins Lake Edward and Lake George.

The boat ride offers an excellent platform for photography. You will encounter several hippos, crocodiles, elephants and over 500 bird species.

Have an early morning game drive where you may have an opportunity to see lion, leopard, giant forest hog, Cape buffalo, elephant, defassa waterbuck, Uganda kob, topi and bushbuck among others.

In the afternoon, you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector in search of the tree-climbing lions.

Day 9

Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Trail

After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters where you will be briefed about the gorilla trekking. Bwindi National Park is renowned for its impressive mountain gorillas.

You will set out with a packed lunch and enough drinking water. You are advised to wear strong, comfortable boots and a light rain jacket since the weather in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest is highly unpredictable. The time it takes to track the gorillas varies since it all depends on their movement.

The park rangers will provide you with walking sticks. Visitors are allowed to spend only 1 hour with the gorillas for conservation reasons. The ranger guide will brief you on how to conduct yourself while in the presence of the gentle giants.

In the evening, proceed to the village for a cultural walk to interact with the local people and participate in captivating traditional performances.

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Depart for Lake Bunyonyi after breakfast, the second-deepest lake in Africa. The lake is dotted with small islands with steep sides and terraced shores. You can go canoeing in locally-made canoes, swim, or just sunbathe. It’s a favorite stop for birders.

You will check out several islands like Bwama Island which is good for birders. Otherwise, you can take a nature walk along the shore on one of the islands and appreciate the variety of small birds or just relax.

Walking Safari -Transfer to Entebbe via the Equator

After breakfast, have a walking safari before driving back to Entebbe. You will have a stopover at the Equator where you will have an opportunity to stand in 2 hemispheres at the same time and take some photos. Have another stop at the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers where you will watch the ceremonial drums being crafted using methods passed down through the generations.

You will be taken to your hotel in Entebbe or to the airport for your departure.
