Your adventure begins with a road transfer from O.R. Tambo Airport at 07h40, arriving in Hoedspruit at 13h30. In Hoedspruit, meet your Wild Planet Safari guide and switch to our comfortable open safari vehicle. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant at your own expense.

An hour’s drive brings us to Orpen Gate, the entrance to Kruger National Park. After check-in, we embark on a drive to Satara Rest Camp for the first 2 nights. This initial safari drive introduces Kruger’s diverse wildlife. Satara, situated in the grasslands, is a hotspot for zebras, wildebeests, and antelopes. The camp's waterhole offers wildlife observation opportunities from the camp.

Accommodation at Satara will be in traditional rondavels, featuring 2 single beds, a washroom, toilet, shower, air conditioner, patio, and kitchen. Enjoy dinner at the camp, sharing stories of the day’s adventures. Prepare for an unforgettable start to your tour with Wild Planet Safari.

Day 2

We begin with an early morning safari drive in the captivating Satara area, focusing on predators like leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, and wild dogs. With luck, you may witness a thrilling hunt, showcasing the park's untamed beauty. After we enjoy breakfast at a picnic site before returning to camp.

Unwind back at camp. Take a leisurely walk along the fence, swim, or relax on your patio, savoring the wildlife at the nearby waterhole. After lunch, we set out for an afternoon safari, anticipating even more wildlife sightings.

As the sun sets, return to camp and enjoy dinner under the stars. After dinner, embark on an exhilarating Kruger night drive with a seasoned ranger, uncovering the mysteries of the nocturnal world. Encounter active predators like lions, leopards, and servals, along with hyenas, porcupines, honey badgers, and more.

Day 2 promises unforgettable wildlife experiences, blending excitement with relaxation, all set against the stunning backdrop of the Kruger Park.

Day 3

After breakfast, we leave Kruger National Park and drive along the scenic Drakensberg escarpment, gradually climbing higher.

We explore the historic town of Pilgrims Rest, experiencing its rich heritage and charm. It offers a glimpse into South Africa's well-preserved buildings and nostalgic atmosphere. Next, we head to Graskop for a delicious lunch (at your own expense), savoring local flavors.

We continue with a visit to God’s Window, marveling at the expansive vistas stretching across lush valleys and verdant landscapes. We then visit the Berlin Falls and Lisbon Falls, witnessing cascading waterfalls perfect for photography.

The day ends at the Three Rondavels in the Blyde River Canyon, with striking rock formations resembling traditional African huts. Arriving at Forever Resort, stay in comfortable chalets. Our chef prepares a meal at your chalet, offering a personalized dining experience. This private dinner under the African sky ends a day of exploration and wonder.

On the final day, enjoy breakfast at 7h30 amidst the atmosphere of Blyde River Canyon. After breakfast, we embark on a scenic hike to a beautiful waterfall, offering a chance to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of this region. The trail provides stunning views perfect for reflecting on the journey you’ve experienced.

Following our invigorating hike, we depart Forever Resort at 10h00 and drive to Ohrigstad. Our transfer driver ensures a safe journey back to Johannesburg, passing picturesque landscapes showcasing South Africa’s diverse scenery.

As we return to Johannesburg, reflect on the thrilling wildlife encounters in Kruger National Park and the breathtaking vistas of the Panorama Route. The drive offers a tranquil conclusion, allowing you to unwind.

Expect to arrive at O.R. Tambo Airport between 17h00 and 18h00, with time to check in for onward flights. For smooth travel, we recommend booking domestic flights after 19h00 and international flights after 20h00.
