Day 1

Guests are picked up at their hotel, and can choose from three different areas in the Gauteng Province to go birding, north, the Reef, and south. This tour takes in the the bird sanctuary at Marievale, and the Suikerbosrand (wetlands, grasslands, bushveld and woodlands). David is an enthusiastic birder, not an ornithologist, so have reasonable expectations! A packed lunch will be provided. Marievale is a prime wetland birding destination, with a great many birds that can be ticked off. After the tour, guests are dropped off again at their hotel.
