You will embark on a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, approximately 2 hours from Arusha. Known as one of Tanzania's hidden gems, Tarangire is famous for its vast population of elephants, which can often be seen in large herds wandering near the Tarangire River. The river serves as a vital water source, attracting wildlife, especially during the dry season.

Day 2-3
Central Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will proceed with game drives in the Serengeti, exploring the rolling plains of Serengeti National Park in search of large predators and the gentle herbivorous on which they feed.
The word Serengeti stems from the Maasai language and means endless plains. Many predators roam these vast grasslands: over four thousand lions, 225 cheetahs, a thousand leopards, 3500 hyenas, and hundreds of wild dogs! And, of course, plenty of other beautiful animals, which your guide will be delighted to search for together with you.

Day 4
Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

You'll have breakfast, then collect lunch boxes. This is the last game drive while heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Today, you will visit one of the seven African wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater, created when a huge volcano erupted two million years ago. The fertile lava has created a unique ecosystem, the crater has the highest concentration of animals anywhere in Africa. The Ngorongoro Crater is home to many lion families, buffalos, zebras, wildebeests, and many more species. Nowhere else offers a chance as good as this to spot the rare black rhinos.

Day 5
Lake Eyasi to Arusha
Lake Eyasi to Arusha
After breakfast, you'll enjoy a final morning in the tranquil surroundings of Lake Eyasi, reflecting on your cultural and scenic experiences. If time allows, you may take a short walk along the lakeshore or engage in optional activities, such as:
Visiting the nearby Hadza (Hadzabe) community, one of the last hunter-gatherer people in Tanzania, to gain further insights into their unique lifestyle. You'll observe the Datoga blacksmiths and learn about their traditional craftsmanship.
Following your activities, you'll begin your scenic drive back to Arusha, passing through stunning landscapes and bustling towns. Along the way, take in views of the Rift Valley escarpment, agricultural fields, and the ever-changing scenery that highlights Tanzania's natural beauty.

Day 6-8
Zanzibar Island

After your safari adventure, you'll fly from Arusha to Zanzibar, Tanzania's tropical paradise. Upon arrival, you will transfer to your beachfront hotel and spend the afternoon unwinding on pristine white-sand beaches. You'll relax as the gentle ocean waves and warm breeze welcome you to island life.
For the adventurous, an optional visit to Jozani Forest offers a chance to see the rare Zanzibar red colobus monkeys.
