Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-hour drive from Arusha. Known for its massive baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Tarangire offers a unique safari experience with its picturesque landscapes and seasonal river that attracts a variety of wildlife. Spend the day on thrilling game drives, spotting zebras, giraffes, lions, and over 500 bird species that inhabit the park. Take a break to enjoy a picnic lunch in a designated area within the park before continuing with the afternoon game drive. In the evening, transfer to your lodge located kararu. After breakfast, leave kararu behind and embark on a scenic drive toward the Ndutu Plains in the southern Serengeti, located within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This region is famous for its role in the Great Migration, particularly during the calving season from December to March. Arrive at your camp in time for lunch and enjoy some time to unwind before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Witness the incredible spectacle of thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and antelopes giving birth to their young. Keep an eye out for predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas taking advantage of this time of plenty. Return to your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart the Ndutu area and drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most remarkable wildlife havens in the world. The crater is home to the Big Five (lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo, and leopard), as well as countless other species including hippos, flamingos, and jackals. Enjoy an unforgettable game drive in this unique ecosystem, with a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater rim and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the evening. Check into the Hotel, where you can unwind after an exciting day. Dinner and overnight.
