2 travelers on Start dateArusha - Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart Arusha for a roughly two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way, you'll pass vibrant Masai villages and the vast, iconic plains that are synonymous with African landscapes.
Upon entering Tarangire, embark on a game drive across a sweeping expanse of golden savannah surrounding the Tarangire River. This river flows year-round and serves as a crucial water source for the local wildlife during the dry season. Flanked by acacia and Baobab trees, the river is a frequent gathering spot for the park's substantial elephant population, as well as other herbivores like zebras and antelopes.
As you traverse the park, keep an eye out for lions, leopards, cape buffalo, and a diverse array of antelope species. If you're exceptionally fortunate, you may even catch a glimpse of endangered animals such as the Greater Kudu or the Fringe-Eared Oryx.
After your game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
