Etosha National Park to Kaokoland

Next stop, Hartmann Valley, Kaokoland. Our representative will drive you to the airstrip, where you will board your flight. The flight is approximately 50 minutes. Upon arrival, our representative will transfer you to your lodge, Serra Cafema.

Serra Cafema is a very remote location, very remote indeed. In fact, it is so remote that you can only access the area by plane. Welcome to a land of contrasts! The Kunene River flows in front of the lodge, where Nile crocodiles like to swim and water birds wade. Look out for the Burchell courser and Benguela long-billed lark. Where there is water, there is vegetation. The backdrop varies between a lunar-like landscape, dunes, plains, and mountains of the Namib Desert.

As well as having all meals and local branded drinks provided, you also have nature drives in the valley, a boat trip on the river, walks to the valleys and waterfalls, quad biking, and a visit to a Himba village. You will be given a picnic lunch if you’re on a full-day trip.
