You'll arrive at Entebbe International Airport and travel to your hotel. If you arrive early in the morning, there is an option to visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Ngamba Island, established in association with the Jane Goodall Institute as a habitat for rescued and orphaned chimpanzees. Otherwise, you will spend this day acclimatizing and 'killing off' jetlag.

Entebbe - Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive towards western Uganda. You'll visit the Semuliki conservation area this afternoon. On your way to your lodge, which is in the heart of Kibale Forest, visit the Ndali Kasenda Crater lakes. Besides the amazing story of how these craters formed, you will probably take your most awesome landscape pictures here. The wildlife and the landscape are just jaw-dropping. Later, you will retire at your lodge and prepare for the morning chimpanzee tracking.

Chimpanzee Tracking in Kibale National Park
You'll take your breakfast early, and head into the park to search for chimpanzees and look for other primates in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, including black-and-white colobus, red-tailed and blue monkeys, as well as the rare l’Hoest’s monkey. But the Kibale forest goes beyond just the primates, it's one of the most important forests on earth as a source of medicinal herbs.

Kibale National Park - Queen Elizabeth National Park
Welcome to the tree-climbing lions home. Queen Elizabeth is Uganda's most visited national park for a reason. Rolling savannah landscape filled with some of the most fascinating wildlife — all against the backdrop of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain in a distance.
You'll arrive mid-morning with a short game drive ready for the boat ride. The wildlife cruise on Kazinga Channel, a stretch of water linking Lakes Edward and George, is a highlight of the Queen Elizabeth National Park. You’ll have the opportunity to search for elephants, lions, Ugandan kobs, and countless birds.

Lion and Leopard Tracking Game Drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park
You'll start the day by tracking lions and leopards in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This experiential activity is carried out with the help of researchers who drive around the park with radiation trackers which will help them to find the big cats that have radio collars placed around their necks. You will record information on a datasheet, all of which will be added to the Uganda Large Predator Program (ULPP) database under Makerere University. So, while you enjoy the company of the big cats, you're also contributing to their conservation. You will even receive a certificate for participation at the end of the activity. Later, you will embark on a game drive in the wider Queen Elizabeth National Park including a visit to the salt-mining villages.

Queen Elizabeth National Park - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
You will travel to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to roughly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorilla population. On your way from Queen to Bwindi, you may even be able to spot the tree-climbing lions of the Ishaha sector inside Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After an early breakfast, you will head to the briefing area where rangers will take you through the manual of mountain gorilla trekking. There is not an animal on earth that is as fascinating to watch as the mountain gorilla, and Bwindi in Uganda, houses more than half of the few hundreds still left in the world. In the afternoon, you will visit the Pangolin Sanctuary where a program of rehabilitating pangolins has been taking shape for years now. The pangolin is one of the world's most abused animals, caught up in the middle of the relentless illegal wildlife trade, and this Pangolin experience will shed more light for you on the plight and the future of the pangolins.

Bwindi - Volcanoes National Park
You will cross into Rwanda and settle into your beautiful lodge surrounded by volcanoes and jaw-dropping crater lakes. Tomorrow is another hiking day, so you may need to hit the bed early today. Your guide will be at hand to explain the program to you and remember you call the shots.

Dian Fossey Grave Hike
This is a great way to pay homage to one of the greatest mountain gorilla researchers, Dian Fossey. You will learn about her work with the mountain gorillas in the remote mountains of Rwanda and also contribute towards the very work that she started in 1967. On the hike, you will see several rare plants, birds, golden monkeys, forest elephants, buffaloes, and antelopes. You even be able to spot a gorilla family or two along the way. You'll enjoy a traditional dance performance later in the evening.

Golden Monkeys in Volcanoes National Park- Departure
