Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Today, after meeting up with your driver, you will travel to Tarangire National Park. It is about 2 2-hour drive to the park, you will already be on your first safari! On this special tour, you will have a chance to see tons of elephants, different pride of lions and so much more.
You will be provided a meal at lunchtime, after which the safari will continue. You will be transferred to the budget lodge in Mto wa Mbu in the evening for an overnight stay.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
On this day, it is best to leave the hotel as early as possible so that you can see the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours. You'll enjoy breakfast and lunch in the 8th Natural Wonder of the World.
At 6:30 am, you will set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and after about an hour you will be inside the crater.
Ngorongoro is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania's national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species per square kilometer. You will have the chance to see buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and feline species such as caracals and servals. You will even see the rare black rhinos that find shelter here.
By lunchtime, you will arrive at the picnic site, where you will be offered lunch. Thereafter, your safari will continue.
By evening you will finish the game drive and transfer to Arusha for your overnight stay.

Kilimanjaro Hike
The day trip to Mt Kilimanjaro starts around 5 from Arusha (or even earlier to avoid traffic). Depending on the location of your hotel, the journey will be from 1:30-2.30 pm. From here, you’ll depart with your guide after an early breakfast to start the drive to Kilimanjaro National Park and begin the Kilimanjaro day hike.
The Kilimanjaro day hike takes you up to the vast Shira Plateau, at 3600 m. A 500,000-year-old volcanic caldera that is now a World Heritage Site. You can stop for lunch here, or continue to Shira 1 Camp, Lion Gorge, and the foothills of the Shira Pinnacles. Kilimanjaro’s iconic snow-covered tabletop, Kibo Peak, should be visible from here, as well as neighboring glaciers.
