Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park

Start your adventure with a morning flight from Zanzibar, arriving at Nyerere National Park at 8 am. Upon landing at Mtemere Airstrip, our professional driver/guide will greet you and brief you on the day's plan while you enjoy coffee/tea and local mandazi or rice cookies. With your packed lunch in hand, you'll then embark on a full-day game drive in an open-sided or open-roofed vehicle, offering prime views of the park's incredible wildlife.

Our expert guides will share their knowledge about the park's plants and animals, making your trip both unforgettable and educational. Continue with the game drive until the afternoon for a real safari bush lunch. After lunch, you'll keep exploring until late afternoon or evening, then head to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Walking and Boat Tour then Fly-back to zanzibar

Early in the morning, at 6:30 AM, after breakfast at the camp, start the sunrise bush walk. Walking safaris are a great way to get close to nature and learn about the smaller animals and the bush. It’s an unforgettable experience to walk in such a vast and wild natural reserve. The walks last about 2-3 hours. Return at 8:30 AM for breakfast.

After breakfast, at 10:00 AM, head to the Great Rufiji River for a wonderful 2.5-hour boat tour, ending at 12:30 PM. It’s an ideal trip where you’ll enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Rufiji River with many hippos, crocodiles, and beautiful birdlife.
Have lunch at 1:00 PM, then head to Mtemere Airstrip to catch a flight at 4:00 PM back to Zanzibar.
