Day 1

Our company driver-guide will pick you up at Kigali Airport or from a hotel. You will pay a visit to the Genocide Memorial Center in Gisozi then later on embark on your transfer to the Volcanoes national park. Leaving the lively capital, you'll drive northwest through lush hills and bustling market towns for approximately 2.5 hours, to the stunning Volcanoes National Park. It is well known as the venue for Dian Fossey's pioneering studies of mountain gorillas.

Day 2

Mountain Gorilla Trekking

After your breakfast, you will head to the briefing point where you will be given instructions
to be followed while doing the gorilla trekking. This activity will take approximately 4-7 hours depending on where you will find the particular gorilla family which is assigned to you, thus, you will need packed lunch. After located the gorilla family, you are given only one hour with them, observing and learning about their behavior as you capture memorable pictures and videos. After that you will return to your accommodation for refreshment.

Golden monkeys are rare and unique primate mammals that are found in the volcanoes massif national parks which are shared by three African countries. Such as Mgahinga gorilla
national park in south western Uganda, Volcanoes national park in Rwanda, Virunga national
park and Kahuzi Biega national park in Congo. Golden monkeys live together in harmony
with the mountain gorillas in Uganda and Rwanda, these endangered creatures are playful
and extremely interesting when travelers meet them. The golden monkeys are found of
demarcating their territories and living together in big numbers is a common thing about these
primates. Trekking the golden monkeys is easier compared to trekking the mountain gorillas since golden monkeys live in lowland areas and they are known for living evidence behind which can be followed while on
a golden monkey tracking activity in the park although they are fond of moving from one place to
another.

Day 4

After your breakfast, go for a canoe trip on the lake whereby you will be able to see various
birds, communities, landforms such as the islands. Take as much photographs as you can.
After the canoe, have lunch and drive to Lake Mburo national park for a game
drive in search for zebras, impalas, elands, buffalos, oribi, Defassa waterbuck, leopard, hippo,
topi and reedbuck. Then you will be driven to your booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will be led in for a nature walk within the national park by an armed ranger. Here you will get to be in close encounter with the wildlife animals such as giraffes, kobs, antelopes, zebras, among others. This nature walk will give you a nice memorable experience. After that, you will embark on a transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park for an evening game drive. Then you will check-in at the booked lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will set out for a morning game drive through the park. You will be able to spot various wildlife species such as the water bucks, lions, African elephants, hartebeests, giraffes, antelopes, cape buffaloes, leopards, warthogs and also view different crater lakes. After a 3-hour drive, transfer back for lunch as you prepare for the afternoon 2-hour launch cruise along the Kazinga channel which has the highest concentration of crocodiles, African elephants, antelopes, among others.

After breakfast, you will check-out and embark on a game drive as you are heading out of the park to Kibble Forest national park. This park is one of Africa's most beautiful rain forests and habitat to 13 primates and the most common ones are Chimpanzees. It also gives a great birding experience with over 300 bird species. Along the way you will spot stunning landscapes, forests, etc. Upon arrival at the park, you will have a nature walk in the evening before continuing to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8

Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

After breakfast, head out to the park offices for briefing and then set out for Chimpanzee Tracking through the dense forest. Keep it in mind that only 1 hour is given to visitors when they encounter face to face with the chimpanzee. Besides chimpanzees, other primates can be spotted like the Red Tailed monkeys, Blue monkeys, L'Hoest monkeys, White Colobus monkeys, antelopes, etc. After the tracking activity, head back to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the evening, you will be taken for a nature walk through the Bigodi swamp where you will spot birds, olive baboons, bush babies, sitatungas, among other wildlife species.

After your breakfast, you will ensure that all your property is parked in the vehicle. Then you will be transferred to Entebbe via Kampala City. If there's still enough time before your check-in at the airport, then you will get chance to have a simple city tour in Kampala. Then the driver will drop you off at the airport.
