Day 1

Going to Mikumi National Park from Dar es Salaam

At 7:00 am, all travellers will meet at the allocated central meeting point in Dar Es Salaam, that is our offices in Posta, Ilala. We will start our journey to Mikumi at 7:30am. Our team of driver guide and tour guide will travel with the group to ensure the experience is a smooth and great one for all.
In Morogoro town, we will stop for a lunch break at a restaurant.
Upon arrival in Mikumi, you will have time to freshen up before heading into the park for an afternoon game drive. We will exit the park in the evening and head to Camp Bastian Mikumi for an overnight stay and dinner.
Mikumi is known for its diverse range of wildlife. Visitors can see large herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and zebras. The park is also home to predators such as lions, leopards, and wild dogs. Additionally, it supports a variety of antelope species, including eland, kudu, and impala.

Day 2

Game Drives in Mikumi National Park

Game Drives in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast today, we will drive into the national park for a full day of game drives, that means we will be inside the national park, driving around in the safari jeep looking at all types of animals, big and small. The game drives are the primary way to explore this park. We will follow the trail of the lions, take corners to remote locations where the other cats hide out. A hot lunch will be served at the park's restaurant. After lunch, we will continue with afternoon game drives and exit the park in the evening. We will then stay overnight at Camp Bastian Mikumi and have a hot dinner.
Mikumi park is a haven for birdwatchers, with over 400 bird species recorded. Notable species include the African fish eagle, the lilac-breasted roller, and the saddle-billed stork.

Day 3

Transfer to Dar es Salaam

Transfer to Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, you will all check out of the lodge. Our driver guide will take you to the local market for sightseeing. You will then proceed with an en route game drive as you exit Mikumi. The transfer back to the city may take up to 6 hours. You can be dropped off at a location of your choice or hotel. This will be the end of the safari service.
