Ngorongoro Crater
When you first see Ngorongoro Crater, it looks like a forgotten world. The steep volcanic walls, including sweeping savannahs, pockets of acacia woodlands, and glistening lakes and swamps, conceal a pristine wilderness. The crater was created when a giant volcano exploded and collapsed in on itself two to three million years ago. The drive down into the crater is an adventure in itself, and when you reach the crater floor, you quickly find yourself amongst large numbers of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and more than 500 bird species. The crater provides the best chance of seeing the endangered black rhinos, which can sometimes be spotted in the open grasslands. After an entire afternoon inside the crater, you will stay at Budget campsite.

Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you'll drive straight to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park is one of the most eye-catching national parks in the country. Large parts of the park are covered by Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline water body that attracts both wildlife and birds; flocks of flamingoes can be seen in their thousands by the shore of the great lake, projecting a very extravagant scenery. Lake Manyara is also considered the paradise of birds as it has more than 500 bird species, both indigenous and migratory birds. Animals that can be found inside the park are elephants. Buffalos can be seen roaming about the park’s woodland; tall majestic giraffes in the acacia-dotted plains are a standard attraction. The park’s exclusive tree-climbing lions are also widespread acts; warthogs, impalas, gazelles, Klipspringers, and the lesser and greater pink flamingoes can be seen decorating the shores of Lake Manyara.
