Pick up from your hotel in Kigali and start your adventure with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda and its evolution to one of the fastest growing economies on the African continent. Depart from Kigali for a scenic road trip to Volcanoes national park in the Virunga Mountains. The journey takes about 4 hours, offering picturesque views of the Virunga massive mountains. Check into your lodge for a delicious dinner and rest for an exciting day of trekking through the forest the next day.

Optional golden monkey tracking and transfer to Bwindi
After an early breakfast, we drive to the visitor center to attend briefing session conducted by park rangers about the guidelines to follow while tracking golden monkeys as well gorillas depending on which option you choose. After briefing we head into the jungle accompanied by experienced trackers to this serene tropical rainforest. Once the golden monkeys have been located, you will spend a magical hour observing them up close. Learn about their behavior, social structure, and conservation efforts to protect them. Late transfer to the boarder of Rwanda Uganda where you will continue to drive to Bwindi for your gorilla tracking adventure.
Dinner and overnight at the edge of forest (Please note that accommodation on this day depends where you gorilla permits have be purchased or where you are tracking gorillas from).

Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After your early breakfast (7:00am), you will have short drive to the UWA briefing center where you will be taken through the dos and don’ts while tracking gorillas. After you have been allocated a gorilla family in a group of 8 Pax, you will be led by the armed ranger guides off the forest to search for the gorillas. When gorillas have been located, you will have one full hour viewing them as they go on with their daily lives at a distance of 7-10 meters. After gorilla tracking, we drive to lake Bunyonyi for a night on the terraces of lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight.

Optional lake activities and Afternoon Kazinga Boat cruise
After your early breakfast, we will depart from lake Bunyonyi to Queen Elizabeth national park where we will check in at our lodge, have lunch and later head to Katunguru where we will take on the Kazinga channel community boat in support of the host communities.
Kazinga channel is famous for the population of hippos and is said to have the highest population of hippos on the African continent. Other wildlife can be sighted here including the African elephant, the Cape buffalo, waterbucks, birds, and reptiles like the Nile crocodile among others. Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Kasenyi sector.

Optional Chimpaznee trekking in Kyambura and Afternoon game drive in Kasenyi Plains
After your early breakfast, you will drive for 20 minutes to reach your chimpanzee tracking point for an exceptional encounter with man’s closest living relative with whom we share about 99% DNA. You will be led by the UWA guides who understands the forest very well as you search for these great apes. After they have been sighted, you will be allowed to view them for one hour as they go on with their daily lives. We recommend you carry some drinking water, quick snacks and off course this being a tropical rain forest, you must carry your rain gear. After the encounter with chimpanzees, we drive back to the lodge for a hot lunch.
Afternoon, we conduct a game drive through the several tracks that a rich with abundant wildlife. While on a game drive, on a lucky day, we may be able to find several families of African Elephants, pride of lions, kobs, waterbucks, pumba and spotting a leopard is always a plus. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Morning game drive and evening game drive in Lake Mburo park
We will have one last morning game drive before we depart for lake Mburo. Optional carnivore tracking or Lion tracking (200$ per person) where you off the main trail to try and find lions and leopards. At 10:00am depart to Lake Mburo park where you will have an afternoon game drive and night game drive to look for wildlife in this park. Dinner and overnight at the edge of the park.

Walking Safari and transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast, we take a walking safari to discover the park on foot before departing for Entebbe. This park is famous for its antelopes and zebras of course not forgetting 340 bird species that have recorded here all packed for your walking safari. Later we drive back to Entebbe with a photographic stop at the equator. End of tour (Please note that a day room use can be arranged on request at an extra cost).
