Day 1
Chirundu to Mana Pools National Park

We transfer by road from Chirundu to Mana Pools National Park and to our tented camp on the Zambezi river front. Once settled into our camp we can start exploring. Depending on game movements we may walk straight out the camp or drive a short distance to where all the action is. Walking is with an experienced armed guide and game viewing is in open safari vehicle.

Day 2

We get up early in the morning. We ask you to pack your own gear, which will be stowed away with all the other camp equipment (this will be moved to the next camp by our staff). We will walk to our next camp carrying the basics. We will see many animals whilst on foot as well as tracks. We walk between 3 and 4 hours to our next camp. Our camp will be set up for us when we arrive. Later in the afternoon we head out again enjoying all the great sights the park has to offer. We can also just relax and take it easy in our well positioned camp.

Day 3

Up early in the morning again. Same routine as yesterday. Pack our kit and our team drive it to the next camp. We head out and search the area for a wide variety of animals including lions or Cape Hunting dogs. We stay out till late morning and head to camp for lunch and a break, later in the afternoon we head out again enjoying all the great sights the park has to offer. The park is well known for its large elephant populations. Mana Flood plain scenery is a photographers dream.

Day 4

Best time for walking is in the morning so it is early in the morning again. We head out and search the area for a wide variety of animals including buffalo or Cape Hunting dogs. We stay out till late morning and head to our new camp, which is already set up and have lunch break, later in the afternoon we head out again enjoying all the great sights the park has to offer. The park is well known for its large elephant populations. Some are well known for feeding on the flood plain trees by standing on their hind legs.

Day 5
Mana Flood Plain
Mana Flood Plain
The whole Mana flood plain is teaming with wildlife. The soft light makes the perfect setting for photographs.
The steady flow of the Zambezi river attracts lots of water birdlife. We will see many hippo and crocodiles on the river.
Many animals slowly walk past our well positioned camp. Same routine as day before, pack our gear and our staff move it ahead of us. We always have lots to explore and see.

Day 6

Mana on foot
Once again, up early for an early breakfast. We all know the routine by now. Whilst walking to our next camp we discover many amazing things Mana has to offer. Prolific birdlife and scenic landscape are always easy on the eyes. Our backdrop the mighty Zambezi river.

On our last morning we have a leisurely breakfast. Pack up our gear and drive out the park.
