Day 1

Airport Pick-Up

You will be met on arrival at JRO by our representative with a paging board with your name. You will then be briefed on your upcoming safari and transferred to your hotel. If you arrive early, we can take you on a complimentary city tour, and you will get a chance to experience a local lunch or dinner at a restaurant or bar in the city and then drive back to the hotel.

Day 2

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Today will start with breakfast and a pick-up from the hotel at 08h00. You will then proceed to Tarangire National Park. This park is famous for hosting a large number of African elephants as well as beautiful baobab trees. During the game drive, various animals, such as leopard, zebra, antelope, oryx and many bird species, can be found in this national park. Later in the evening, you will drive to Karatu town for dinner.

Day 3

Serengeti National Park Central

Serengeti National Park Central

After breakfast, transfer to the Serengeti through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Stop at the viewpoint to enjoy the views of the crater and continue driving to the Serengeti. After traveling a few kilometers along the top of the crater, you will begin to see the immense plains of the Serengeti.

Serengeti is the most famous of Tanzania’s national parks and is known for its large number of grazing mammals, including millions of wildebeest. Serengeti is derived from the Maasai word, which means "endless plains".

Upon arrival in Serengeti, you will have lunch and then proceed with a game drive. Later in the evening, you will drive to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Northern Serengeti

After breakfast, your Serengeti migration adventure will start with a game drive towards the northern part of Serengeti National Park. We will do a game drive en route from Central Serengeti to Northern Serengeti, where you will visit the Mara River on the Tanzania side. You may be lucky enough to view one or more river crossings of the more than a million wildebeest and accompanying zebras, wallowing hippos, elephants and different species of birds. Also, during this time, many predators and big cats follow the animals to this area. You will spend 2 nights at Heritage Migration Camp to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Day 6

Central Serengeti National Park

Central Serengeti National Park

You will spend a full day in Serengeti, with morning and afternoon game drives. Explore the great plains of Serengeti, where endless wildebeest and zebra pour toward Ngorongoro or north toward the Masai Mara. Our game drive will cover the varied habitats and ecosystems of Serengeti. An optional balloon safari is highly recommended to get an eagle-eye view of the magnificent wilderness and wildlife of Serengeti. The safari ends with champagne under a lone acacia tree surrounded by vast savannah grass. In the evening, after sunset but before dark, you will drive back to the camp for dinner.

Day 7

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, we will depart to the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. While we exit the Serengeti, you might also spot giraffes, hippos, wildebeests and other animals.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a must-see while on safari in Tanzania for its high density of wild animals. The Ngorongoro Conservation area is a conservation project where the Maasai and their livestock live together with wild animals. We will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with a picnic lunch. In the evening, we will drive to Karatu town for overnight and get ready for the next day's adventure.

Day 8

Cultural Activity

Cultural Activity

Wake up early, and with a picnic lunch, drive to Eyasi village. You will do morning hunting with the Hadzabe (Bushmen). They will teach you many things, like how to make a fire with 2 dry sticks, as well as show you how to use a bow and arrows and collect tubers, roots and fruits with the women, or you will join the men for hunting.

After that, you will visit the Datoga community. These people are natural blacksmiths, and you will see how they melt brass, copper, and aluminium and make weapons like arrowheads and knives, which they sell to the Bushmen. You will also learn how they grind maize with stones. After enjoying an adventurous day, you will drive to a purely Maasai area at the foot of Mount Meru, Osiligilai Maasai Lodge. Upon arrival, you will enjoy Maasai songs and dances. In the evening, you can throw spears and learn about the history here. Then, you will have time to share stories with the Maasai and enjoy dinner.

Enjoy your morning tea or coffee. Then, your Maasai guide will be ready to take you for a short walking safari while learning about Maasai medicines. You will return to the lodge for a full breakfast. Then, you will visit a nearby Maasai boma and learn how they build their houses.

You will return to the lodge for a hot lunch. Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport for your next adventure destination.
