Day 2
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
We will pick you up from your hotel then start our journey to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its diverse landscapes and iconic baobab trees. The park boasts Tanzania's largest concentration of elephants, providing exceptional opportunities to observe these majestic creatures and their social interactions. Throughout our game drive, we'll explore various parts of the park, focusing on areas known for predator sightings like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, as well as herbivores such as giraffes, wildebeests, and zebras.
Following our morning exploration, we'll enjoy a scenic lunch at the Tarangire River picnic site, offering breathtaking views of the river and its wildlife. Look out for playful monkeys and baboons, adding a lively atmosphere to our meal. The game drive continues until approximately 5:30 pm, marking the end of our adventures in Tarangire for the day. We will then proceed to Suricata Lodge, nestled in Tanzania's natural wilderness, where you can relax.

Following an early breakfast at 6:00 am, we'll first visit the Ngorongoro viewpoint to take in its breathtaking panorama. From there, we'll descend into the crater in search of black rhinos, known to be among the most challenging animals to spot in this unique setting where most wildlife is readily visible due to the crater's design.
Ngorongoro Crater is unparalleled among Tanzania's parks, celebrated for its magnificent scenery and abundant wildlife population. The crater's ecosystem sustains its inhabitants year-round, eliminating the need for migration. After lunch, we'll continue our exploration with a game drive before ascending from the crater and transferring you to your accommodation in Arusha.
