Transfer to Ngorongoro Crater for a full game drive
After breakfast, we will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of exploration. Here, you will have the opportunity to see an array of wildlife including lions, buffalos, zebras, hyenas, antelopes, and, with a bit of luck, the elusive rhinoceros. We will enjoy a picnic lunch by the crater lake, surrounded by stunning scenery. After the game drive, you will head to the Escarpment Luxury Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, where you can relax and reflect on the day's adventures.
The Ngorongoro Crater, the world's largest intact volcanic caldera, was formed approximately 2 to 3 million years ago after a massive volcanic explosion. The crater floor sits at 1,800 meters (5,900 feet) above sea level and is home to around 30,000 animals and a diverse range of bird species.
