Arusha to Rainforest Camp (Starting point at Lemosho Gate)

Your expedition kicks off with a scenic drive from Arusha airport to Lemosho Gate, where you’ll complete park formalities amidst the lush greenery of Kilimanjaro’s rainforest. The trail winds down through the stark beauty of volcanic scree, transitioning from the icy heights to the moorlands and eventually the lush rainforest of Mweka Camp at 3,100 meters. As you trek further, surrounded by endemic flora and the calls of exotic birds, the landscape transforms, echoing your journey from summit to base. Arriving at Mweka Gate (1,650 meters), you complete formalities, receive your summit certificates, and bid farewell to your mountain guides.
