Day 2

Arusha City – Tarangire National Park

In the morning, you will meet your driver-guide in Arusha. After a brief introduction and overview of the day's itinerary, you will embark on a journey to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a thrilling game drive and a delightful picnic lunch amidst the stunning natural scenery. Later in the day, you will travel to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park is renowned for its diverse wildlife and unique landscapes. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which is the only permanent water source for wildlife during the dry season. This river attracts large numbers of animals, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and various bird species. The park is also famous for its majestic baobab trees and tree-climbing African pythons.

Day 3

Karatu – Serengeti National Park

Karatu – Serengeti National Park

After a hearty breakfast, you will drive through the scenic highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will have the chance to stop and take in the breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This geological wonder was formed millions of years ago when a massive volcano exploded and collapsed, creating one of the largest intact volcanic calderas in the world.

Continuing your journey, you will transit through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and enter the southern part of the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is famous for its vast open plains, which provide excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing. The park is perhaps best known for the Great Migration, a spectacular annual event where millions of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope move in search of fresh grazing. Depending on the time of year, you may witness this incredible natural phenomenon.

Day 4

Today, you will experience the magic of the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives. Your knowledgeable guide will help you explore the vast plains and spot a wide variety of wildlife.

The Serengeti, a World Heritage Site, spans approximately 15,000 square kilometers and is home to an incredible diversity of animals. It supports over 2 million herbivores, including wildebeest, zebras, and various species of antelope. The park is also home to a significant number of predators, such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as numerous bird species.

During the dry season, the Northern Serengeti hosts large herds of migratory wildebeest and zebra. However, the region also supports abundant resident wildlife, including elephants, hippos, giraffes, crocodiles, and the rare oribi antelope.

Day 5

Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will embark on a scenic drive towards the Ngorongoro Crater. The descent into the crater is an adventure in itself, offering stunning views and the anticipation of the wildlife encounters to come.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a pristine wilderness area, featuring sweeping savannah, pockets of acacia woodland, glistening lakes, and swamps. The crater was formed when a large volcano exploded and collapsed on itself 2 to 3 million years ago, creating a unique and diverse ecosystem.

Once on the crater floor, you will have the opportunity to see a wide variety of animals, including large herds of wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. The crater is also one of the best places to see the endangered black rhino.

Lake Manyara National Park – Arusha

On your final day, after breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and drive you to Lake Manyara National Park for a memorable game viewing experience and a picnic lunch. Following the game drive, you will be transferred to Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, where your safari adventure will conclude.

Lake Manyara National Park, although relatively small, is a gem of biodiversity. Covering an area of 330 square kilometers (127 square miles), with up to 200 square kilometers (77 square miles) consisting of the lake during high water levels, the park is a haven for bird watchers. It is home to a wide variety of bird species, including flamingos, pelicans, and storks. The park also provides excellent opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, baboons, warthogs, buffalos, and possibly even the legendary tree-climbing lions.
