At seven in the morning, following breakfast at your lodge, we will drive you to Oltukai Village, a genuine Maasai village nestled between Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park. The maximum travel time is two hours. As you enter the village, moms and warriors will welcome you with dancing, singing, and happy smiles. They'll ask you to dance after dressing you just like them. Once you enter the Maasai community, keep in mind that you are no longer considered a guest; instead, they will consider you a friend and invite you to participate in their daily activities. Karatu to Lake Eyasi
An indigenous community called the Hadzabe tribe resides close to Lake Eyasi in northern Tanzania. They hunt and collect for their own food, making them one of the few hunter-gatherer societies in existence. Despite strong external push to change, the Hadzabe have preserved their traditional way of life and have a rich cultural history.
The Hadzabe are closely linked to the land and their natural resources, depending on the flora, fauna, and other elements of their surrounds for their survival. They have their own cultural traditions, beliefs, and rituals, as well as a distinctive and sophisticated language. Visitors to Hadzabe communities can have the opportunity to observe and learn about their way of life and can participate in activities such as hunting with bows and arrows, gathering wild fruits and nuts, and visiting sacred sites.

Many people come here in the hopes of spotting the elusive colobus monkey. As giraffes gently move over the land, buffalo, zebras, warthogs, and blue monkeys lurk nearby, waiting to be found. This day trip is perfect for birdwatchers as well, as Arusha is home to a diverse range of species, such as turacos, starlings, trogons, and hundreds of migrating flamingos.

Materuni Waterfalls
Approximately 7 am is when our driver/guide will get you up in Arusha, and it will take 2 hours and 45 minutes to go to Materuni village. You will first register at the village office upon arrival, and then you will set off on foot to reach the Waterfall.
You'll trek through dense jungle on winding paths for around forty-five minutes. You might be able to see Kilimanjaro on a clear day, but even if not, we guarantee you won't be dissatisfied. In addition to providing you with an initial introduction to Chagga culture and customs, the scenery is breathtaking. You can take a break by the waterfall or, if you're feeling very daring, go for a swim in the chilly water.
