Day 3

After an early breakfast, you will check out from the hotel and head straight to Tarangire NP.

Tarangire NP is in the Manyara region. The park's name originates from the Tarangire River that crosses the park. During the annual Dry season, the river is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire ecosystem. Ranking as the 6th-largest national park in Tanzania and covering an area of 2,600 sq km, Tarangire NP is most famous for its large elephant herds. Here, it is usually very dry and actually drier than the Serengeti.

In the afternoon, you will have a lunch break. After lunch, the game drive continues until you start returning to your accommodation. It is time to relax, dine, swim, and relive the memories you collected during the day.

After an early breakfast, we'll embark on a scenic drive to Ngorongoro Crater for a guided tour, complete with a picnic lunch amidst its breathtaking landscapes.

Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest caldera, boasting grasslands, forests, and swamps inhabited by the Maasai alongside their cattle. Designated as a conservation area since 1956 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1978, it stands as the premier attraction within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Home to an impressive array of wildlife including the renowned Big Five (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino), it also hosts vast herds of wildebeest and zebra during their annual migration.

After breakfast, we set off for Lake Manyara National Park with our picnic lunch boxes.

Lake Manyara NP is a destination of its own merit, showcasing groundwater forests, bush plains, baobab-adorned cliffs, and algae-streaked hot springs that create a rich tapestry of habitats. This compact area is teeming with diverse wildlife and hosts an impressive variety of bird species. Thousands of pink flamingos grace the lakeshore, contrasting vividly with the mineral hues of the lake. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Lake Manyara National Park encompasses grasslands, savannahs, woodlands, mountain vistas, and thermal springs. Its inhabitants include flamingos, elephants, tree-climbing lions, buffaloes, leopards, gazelles, baboons, hyenas, and a wealth of other wildlife species.
