You will be picked up after arrival at the airport. It is only 15 minutes to the Secrets Guest House, which is located close to Lake Victoria in a safe and lush area of Entebbe. Secrets has a rooftop restaurant and an excellent kitchen. As they use the slow cooking method, you should order lunch and dinner a couple of hours before.

You'll relax in the morning or explore the shores of Lake Victoria near the Guesthouse. Our guide will pick you you a quarter to 1 pm for your shoebill boat safari which starts at 1 pm. Mabamba Swamps near Entebbe is the best place to spot this rare, prehistorical-looking big bird.

Day 3

Ziwa Rhino Sactuary

After breakfast at about 8 am, your roundtrip will start, on the way you will have the chance to stop at Victoria Mall, for a money exchange, buy a sim card, and some snacks for the trip at the supermarket before your transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
You will start there with a late lunch.
Then relax. Optionally: You may decide on an optional nature walk late afternoon for wildlife and birds. With luck you might as well spot the first rhinos. Price 20 USD.

Day 4

After breakfast, your guided walking safari with rhinos starts at 8 am. You'll watch the white rhinos very closely during their morning activities before they hide and rest deep in the bushes for the rest of the day.
After this breathtaking experience, you will proceed to the viewpoint top of the Murchison Falls in Murchison National Park, where the River Nile needs to squeeze via a 7 m wide and 44 m deep rocky gorge. There you will have time for lunch (your driver will organize snacks for lunch during the transfer).
Your first game drive in Murchison Park is planned for the late afternoon. The park has lions,. leopards, buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, Uganda Kob, antelopes, hartebeasts, monkeys and more. With luck, you will finish spotting all the Big Five within 24 hours.

Early morning game drive at the Northern shores of the Nile in Murchison Falls National Park. The park is famous for elephants, Rothchild giraffes, Pattas monkeys, lions, leopards, Uganda kob, antelopes, hartebeasts, and lots of beautiful birds.
You'll have a lunch break in the lodge.

At 2 pm, you will enjoy the spectacular Nile boat safari to the Murchison Falls. You may expect elephants, crocodiles, lots of hippos, and beautiful birds before you reach a point on the Nile where you can see the mighty Falls from down. Please choose a seat in the upper deck on the left side.

Your morning activity is the Bigodi Wetlands walking safari with our local guide. You will see endemic monkeys, birds, and more and get explanations about nature, the plants, and their use. After this experience, you will enjoy a local lunch at Tinka. The food is delicious and you get explanations and background information about Ugandan food and traditions.
In the afternoon, we booked your chimpanzee tracking. We recommend to do it in the afternoon. It is less crowded and the chances to see the chimps on ground and not only high up in the trees are better.

Day 8

Queen Elizabeth National Park

At 7:00 am you startle transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP. You bypass some crater lakes, can optionally visit a vanilla planation project or a school, make pictures at banana markets and bypass the Equator Memorial.
Lunch will be in the next Lodge.

At 2:00 pm the next highlight, the famous Kazinga Channel Boat Safari awaits you. Please take a seat at the upper deck of the boat on the left side. Lots of elephants, buffaloes, birds, and hippos can be seen.

As this lodge as well is located close to the gate, a late afternoon game drive before dinner will be arranged for you. The best chance to see lions and leopards in action is in this part of Uganda.

Transfer to Bwindi, the home of Gorillas

Transfer to Bwindi, the home of Gorillas

You'll have a full-day transfer to Bwindi along a scenic road. Local Lunch during transfer.

Your driver will stop at scenic viewpoints. The first stop will be the Twin Crater Lakes View Point and the Elephant Dung Project. This is a women cooperative to refund farmers with elephant damages a bit by buying the elephant dung. They produce a handmade paper and some nice articles of this paper. If you are interested, you may as well visit Kitagata Hotsprings. This is a natural spa for Ugandans. This short detour will cost about 5$ entrance fee for those who want to visit it.

You'll have a local lunch during the transfer.

Today is your Gorilla Tracking Day. We will make sure that our clients get a group which fits their fitness level. After the track you might relax in the nice garden of the lodge facing the rainforest. Or you add an optional community tour which can be arranged by the lodge. As well a birding tour is bookable in the lodge.

To Lake Mburo National Park via Lake Bunyonyi

Today you start early to reach Lake Mburo for lunch. Your guide will make a detour to the Lake Bunyonyi View Point at Arcadia Lodge. Take a coffee, tea or soft drink at the terrace and enjoy the breathtaking view.
You check in Kigarama Lodge for lunch and will get a first game drive in the afternoon. You can opt for a walking safari which is really recommendable in this park. This costs 25$ pp.

Another day in the beautiful Kigarama Lodge and this very nice park, with lots of Giraffes, Zebras, Impalas, Eland Antelopes and birds.
Recommended is a walking safari early morning! 25$ extra but worth it.
If you want you can skip this day to get make it a 12 day trip or exchange day 11 by a day at Lake Bunyonyi and then only one night in Lake Mburo. We are flexible!

Depending on your departure flight the program for this day might change a bit.
For those with a late evening flight the day starts with early game drive, breakfast and back to Entebbe via the Eastern Equator memorial, the visit of a drum manufacturer with drum session and dinner at the roof top terrace of Secrtes GH and shuttle to Airport.
For those who need to reach the Airport between 2 and 8 in the evening we will shorten the program and make sure that you reach your flight in time.
For those who booked a morning or early afternoon flight… you need to add another night in Entebbe.
