After breakfast, with a packed lunch, you will spend the day in Nyerere National Park. It is the largest wilderness area in Africa. Nyerere National Park has relatively undisturbed ecological and biological processes, including a diverse range of wildlife with significant predator and prey relationships, followed by morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 3

Nyerere / Mikumi National Park

Nyerere / Mikumi National Park

You'll wake up early for breakfast at 6:15 am and go bush walking with the local bushmen. Then, you'll go back for breakfast. Then, you'll check out and drive to Morogoro. En route to Mikumi, you'll have lunch. The road network through the Mikumi National Park has a great chance to view wild animals. You'll arrive at Mikumi for dinner and an overnight stay.

You'll have breakfast at 6:30 am. Then, you'll drive to Mikumi National Park for the game drive. You'll have lunch in the park. The park is also decorated by its superbly scenic plains and baobabs and it is home to various wild animals and bird species.

The park is endowed with a spectacular concentration of wildlife that is rarely seen in other parks like magnificent sable antelopes, African hunting dogs, blue wildebeest, Lichtenstein’s hartebeest, and others.

After breakfast, you will check out and drive to Ruaha National Park via Iringa. You will stop for lunch at Iringa town. After lunch, you will proceed to drive to Ruaha National Park. You'll arrive at the main gate for registration and sunset game drive en route to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

The convergence of the vegetation zone in this huge park has resulted in an unusual combination of animals, particularly greater and lesser kudu, together with sable and roan antelopes. Other animals found in Ruaha National Park include elephants, zebras, lions, giraffes, hunting dogs, ostrich, greater and lesser kudu, Grant's gazelles, striped hyenas, sable and roan antelopes, crocodile and hippos mainly in Ruaha River.

More than 540 species of birds have been recorded in this park.

Nature lovers can explore mountain forests for several rare, endemic, and endangered species of flora and fauna including endemic species of mangabey, Iringa red colobus, endemic Udzungwa Forest Partridge, and Rufous wing sunbird.

The park offers several spectacular waterfalls including the biggest waterfall in the national park system in Tanzania. The Sanje waterfall with 170m.
