Departure for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya's famous game reserve. (Drive time 5.5 hours). You will be in a private safari vehicle. Stop for some time at the Your Driver-Guide reports to your hotel for start of the safari to Masai Mara with7.30am to 8am Great Rift Valley viewpoint on the way, to enjoy the amazing views of the largest Valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Arrive at Masai Mara for lunch at your lodge, have your lunch then later relax as you wait for dinner and overnight stay at the lodge. There is also an option of swimming.

Masai mara

After breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

There are many large carnivores found here in the reserve. Lions are the most dominant and are found here in large numbers. Spotted hyenas are another abundant carnivore and often compete with lions for food. Leopards are everywhere in the reserve, as there are plenty of trees for them to escape. East African cheetahs are also found in high numbers on the open savanna, where they hunt gazelles and wildebeest. African wild dogs are quite rare at the reserve due to the widespread transmission of diseases like canine distemper and their heavy competition with lions. Smaller carnivores that don't directly compete with the latter include African wolves, black-backed jackals, African striped weasels, caracals, servals, honey badgers, aardwolves, African wildcats, side-striped jackals, bat-eared foxes, striped polecats, African civets, genets, several mongoose species, and African clawless otters.
