Day 1

Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins at Arusha Airport to Tarangire National Park, a gem tucked away in northern Tanzania. It is renowned for its vast baobab-dotted landscapes and dense elephant population. As you enter the park, the towering baobab trees greet you, their ancient forms casting shadows on the savannah below. Tarangire is celebrated for its large herds of elephants that roam freely, often congregating near the Tarangire River.

Game drives here promise sightings of not just elephants but also lions, leopards, and a variety of antelope species such as kudu and gazelle. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 500 bird species recorded, including the iconic Maasai ostrich and the dazzling yellow-collared lovebird. Enjoy a thrilling day exploring this diverse ecosystem before settling into your accommodation, perhaps a cozy lodge nestled amidst the wilderness.

Spend 2 full days here, embarking on game drives that reveal the park’s rich biodiversity. The Serengeti is renowned for its Big Five sightings - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros - alongside cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and countless other species. Witnessing the great migration, where millions of wildebeest and zebras traverse the plains in search of fresh grazing grounds, is a highlight not to be missed if timed right.
