2 travelers on Start dateRhinos and Murchison Falls
You will depart at 8.00 am from Entebbe or 9.00 am from Kampala if you prefer. You'll transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary with a rest stop en route at Lowero Market. You'll take a guided walk with the white rhinos and learn about this inspirational program to reintroduce these wonderful creatures into the wild.
You'll have lunch at Ziwa followed by a transfer via Masindi to Murchison Falls National Park. You'll visit the top of the Murchison Falls: the most powerful on earth, with the River Nile plunging into a mere 7-metre wide ravine.
Then, you'll transfer to Red Chili Restcamp for a first-night camping and an introduction to our fabulous camp setup. There are options for camp dinner and drinks or in the restaurant beneath the banda, or a bit of both. You'll experience lodge fire and views over the Nile basin.

Boat Cruise, Chill Out, and Venture into the Wilderness
Early breakfast at Red Chili followed by a boat safari to the base of the powerful Murchison Falls. Spectacular wildlife on the Nile banks include elephants, hippos, water buffalos, and abundant birdlife: kingfishers, weaver birds, and fish eagles.
You'll transfer to the famous Paraa Lodge for lunch and a relaxing midday break around the pool, overlooking the Nile.
You'll collect the ranger and depart mid-afternoon for the savannah game safari. You'll get into the wilderness to camp at the Nile Delta with Lake Albert. Expect antelopes, elephants, giraffes, water buffalos, and an abundance of birdlife —Uganda is home to over 1000 species! We will collect firewood as we go and set up camp in the middle of nowhere, overlooking Lake Albert. You will then do an evening game drive with the best chance to see a lion and perhaps a leopard, before returning to camp for BBQ and drinks around the campfire. This is wild camping: but we have a hot shower and a folding toilet seat!

Extended Game Drive and Home for Tea and Medals
You'll break camp before dawn with a cup of tea and head out for dawn game safari and another great chance to see lion and leopard looking for breakfast. You will stop for yours after a while by the Nile for a fry-up or whatever you fancy. While we are setting this up, you'll take a brief walking safari with the ranger and see if you can see more hippos and perhaps some crocs. After breakfast, you will drive across Murchison to exit the far northeastern gate. This is an extended and little-used trail these days, into a sector renowned for elephants.
You'll depart the park and commence the journey home via the Nile rapids at Karuma Bridge.
The medals are just a T-shirt, sticker, and certificate presented when you arrive back at Entebbe, or Kampala if you prefer, around 6 pm.
