Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be welcomed by our staff, who will accompany you to your lodge to enjoy some relaxation and perhaps take a dip in the pool. The lodge is located far from the city center, but if you want to take a tour, ask our guide: he will be happy to show you around.

Day 2

Excursion to Materuni Waterfalls with the Chagga Tribe

Excursion to Materuni Waterfalls with the Chagga Tribe

Materuni is the home of the Chagga People and is still an authentic tribal village.
You will visit the waterfalls, which are about 40 minutes away on foot. Along the way, your English-speaking guide will inform you about Chagga culture and village life and explain the surrounding fauna and flora. The views are truly breathtaking and with a bit of luck, you will be able to see the summit of Kilimanjaro. The drop of these waters is 95 meters. The pool at the bottom of the waterfall is an inviting place for a refreshing swim, so don't forget your swimsuit! Then, upon returning from the mini-trekking, you can enjoy a delicious local lunch and you will be guests of the Materuni family with their typical dishes.

Tarangire National Park and Walking Safari Experience

Tarangire is a park with a thousand faces. You'll enjoy a walking safari to make the most of the experience.
In this park, there are nine vegetation zones ranging from acacia forests to green plains by the river, from vegetation along deep gorges to rocky hilltops. In all these areas numerous animals are found: monkeys, zebras, impalas, wildebeests, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs, "eland" antelopes, large cats (such as cheetahs), and many birds (more than 300 species). On this day, you will dedicate a few hours to a walking safari accompanied by an armed, English-speaking guide. This experience is in total safety in safe areas of the park and away from predators.
Your overnight stay will be at Marera Valley Lodge in Karatu (full board) in exclusive accommodations in total African style managed entirely by local staff.

Day 4

The Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, you will head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. This area is famous for safaris and has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The Ngorongoro crater is located 2,200 meters above sea level, has a diameter of over 16 kilometers, and occupies an area of approximately 265 square kilometers. This park is the largest continuous caldera in the world and one of Africa's natural wonders, inhabited by approximately 30,000 year-round resident large mammals, such as buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, as well as a variety of birds. After the game drive, you will head to the Serengeti to a selected tented camp to spend the night immersed in wild nature.
Your overnight stay will be at Serengeti Signature Luxury Camp (breakfast-lunch-dinner). It has zero impact and is a sustainable mobile tented camp managed by local staff.

Serengeti Park has a total extension of 14,763 km²: a boundless plain that you can admire from the panoramic point at Naabi Gate. The Serengeti is famous for being the scene of the largest migratory movement of wild animals in the world, which involves around one and a half million wildebeests and half a million zebras, in constant search of pastures and water. It is also the best park for spotting cats and predators in general. It is precisely the landscapes of the Serengeti savannah that gave inspiration to the famous film "The Lion King"... at times you will feel like you are entering the film!

Serengeti National Park to Karatu

After breakfast, you will continue along the endless beaten paths of the Serengeti to enjoy this uncontaminated nature and live the experiences that nature puts on stage every day and then return to Arusha with a stop in Karatu.
During this day, there will be several hours of Jeep transfers. If necessary, you will be able to stop for shots or to refresh yourself in the designated spaces. Nothing is predictable or planned. You will experience what that day in that moment and only for you that part of the world wants to give you. Be ready to get carried away

Visit Mto Wa Mbu Village

This particular town is one of the most evocative areas to visit if you are interested in learning more about African culture and the life of the people in Tanzania. The city takes its name from the river of the same name that flows next to it. As soon as you set foot in the village you notice its liveliness and the bright colors that distinguish it, together with the typical houses.
The tour lasts about an hour and a half and will be carried out by mountain bike and guided by an English-speaking villager. You will pass through the dirt roads of the village and it will be inevitable to breathe in their daily life. There will be no shortage of children playing or artisans carrying out their trades in the workshops. None of this is for tourists and no one will want to sell you anything. You will only be passing observers.

Lake Natron with the nearby Ol Donyo Lengai volcano the 'Mountain of God sacred to the Masai is an uncontaminated rugged and particularly fascinating place and allows excursions outside most tourist circuits, it can be visited from the end of June to the beginning of January. It is a 60 km long alkaline lake located north-east of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area characterized by shades that vary from white to pink and brown depending on the time of year. Its dimensions like its color also vary greatly throughout the year and during the dry season its waters retreat so much as to leave large surfaces of land covered by a thick saline crust uncovered. This particularity is a very welcome environment for pink flamingos which populate this part of Tanzania in large numbers.
