Transfer from Kigali to Musanze

Your tour guide with a 4X4 safari vehicle meets and greets you at your hotel in Kigali. You will visit the Kigali Genocide Museum to pay your last respects to victims of the 1994 Rwandan Genocide before leaving the lively capital. You will drive north-west through lush hills and bustling market towns for approximately 2.5 hours, to the stunning Volcanoes National Park—well known as the venue for Dian Fossey's pioneering studies of the mountain gorillas. Your overnight stay will be at Muhabura Hotel or similar.

Golden Monkey trekking in Volcanoes National Park and Transfer to Bwindi

An early morning breakfast will be followed by a transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for a golden monkey tracking briefing. Then, you will hike up into the rainforest to a troop of golden monkeys. Once you find them, you’re allowed to stay with them for an hour. After the day experience, you will transfer to Bwindi/Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. Your overnight stay will be at Gorilla Mist Camp or similar.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and transfer to lake Bunyonyi

After an early morning breakfast, transfer to the ranger station for Uganda Gorilla Trekking Briefing on dos and don’ts while you will be interacting with gorillas, afterwards you will be accompanied by a senior ranger guide & hike into the forest in search of gorillas. Once you find them you usually have an hour with them, time to sit and observe them at very close quarters of 10 meters. Later you will transfer to lake bunyonyi checking into booked lodge at lake bunyonyi for relaxation lunch and enjoy the lodge facilities.

Lake Bunyonyi experience and transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, you will take a boat ride on this lake to tour different islands. Then we will head to another border, this time the Katuna border to cross to Rwanda. Upon reaching, we will do a Kigali city tour starting off with the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre visit. We will check different city landmarks and craft markets. Thereafter, be transferred to Kigali Airport to catch your departure flight back home.
