Diani - Tsavo East National Park

Diani - Tsavo East National Park

You will be picked up early, at about 5:30 am. The journey takes you along the main Mombasa/Nairobi highway, where traditional coastal culture slowly transforms into semi-arid terrain the closer you approach Tsavo East National Park. Arriving at the park gate, you will begin the safari game drive, looking for animals as you slowly drive towards your accommodation, looking for any resident wildlife that calls Tsavo East home.

Tsavo is one of the world's largest wildlife sanctuaries. It is most noted for its dust-covered red elephant herds, maneless lions, and a variety of other wild animals, including leopard, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, and other plains game. On arrival, you will be assisted with check-in and enjoy lunch, followed by some relaxation.

In the afternoon, you'll head out for game viewing in search of more animals and birds, concentrating on maximizing your photo opportunities of any wildlife we may spot.

We’re on safari time, which means we’re up before the sun, ready to catch its bright orange rays bursting upon the plains and the just-awakening wildlife. You’ll hop into your vehicle for an early game drive and appreciate the new day expectant with possibilities. Let’s see what we can add to our wildlife checklist!

Breakfast will be at your accommodation. Then, we will go on another game drive before departing the park for a quick trip to Tsavo West. This park has different colours, with green rolling hills and magnificent baobab trees. Tsavo West hosts all of Africa’s Big Five, including rhinos. You’ll look for these amazing but endangered creatures in the park’s protected rhino sanctuary. Later, you'll enjoy an evening game drive to explore the park's diverse landscapes and wildlife.
