Day 1

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel to start your safari in Tarangire. During this season, thousands of animals migrate from the dry Maasai steppe to the Tarangire River in search of water. Spanning 2,600 square kilometers, Tarangire is renowned for its vast herds of elephants and buffaloes. Visitors can also spot lions, giraffes, impalas, wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles here. It's the only reserve where the fringe-eared oryx is reliably seen. Your day will include a game drive in Tarangire National Park before returning to Mto wa Mbu for camping.

After breakfast, you'll embark on a drive to Serengeti National Park via Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, passing through scenic highland farmland in Karatu. Leaving the highlands behind, you'll descend into Serengeti National Park, known as the heart of wild Africa with its vast grasslands stretching endlessly. Your journey continues to the Seronera section, renowned for its abundant wildlife centered around the Seronera River, a crucial water source attracting a diverse array of Serengeti species. Arriving in time for lunch, you'll enjoy an afternoon wildlife drive within the park. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be at your campsite.

Your game drive in Serengeti National Park begins early in the morning. This day is tailored to your preferences, with flexibility to plan activities accordingly. Your guide will discuss optimal timings each day, including game drives and wake-up calls. For instance, you might start with a morning game drive, return to the camp or lodge for lunch or brunch, and relax before an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you could opt for a game drive with a picnic lunch. After your game drive, you'll return to the campsite.

Following an early breakfast, you'll journey towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying game drives en route. Along the way, there will be a stop of at least 30 minutes at a Maasai village for an authentic tribal experience. You'll arrive at Simba Public Campsite for dinner and overnight accommodation.

The day starts early with a picnic lunch, followed by a descent of 2,000 feet into the Ngorongoro Crater floor aboard our 4WD vehicle for wildlife observation. You'll explore this lush "Garden of Eden," a massive volcanic crater in Tanzania renowned for its abundant grasslands, marshes, woodlands, and perennial water sources that support diverse and abundant wildlife. Afterward, you'll drive to Mto wa Mbu for camping.
