Ngorongoro crater
The Ngorongoro Crater, with its rich volcanic soil, provides a diverse range of habitats where you can spot the Big Five in a single day. Within the park is Lake Makad (Soda Lake in Maasai), a haven for various bird species.
The area is also known for its traditional Maasai communities living in distinctive circular bomas. Moreover, Ngorongoro Crater holds historical significance for human evolution studies, famously linked to the Leakey family’s discoveries.
Expect to see a variety of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, wildebeest, zebras, hippos, gazelles, jackals, foxes, wild dogs, eland, waterbuck, and serval. While giraffes, cheetahs, leopards, and elephants are less commonly observed near the crater rim, they may still make an appearance.
After your safari, you’ll be driven back to Arusha and dropped off at your hotel in the evening.

Materuni Waterfalls
Materuni is a charming village, home to the Chagga community, located just 15 km from Moshi Town and adjacent to Kilimanjaro National Park. In the morning, your English-speaking guide will pick you up for a scenic journey to Materuni Village. Upon arrival, you'll check in at the village office before starting your exploration and have a small hike to the waterfalls.
Your guide will provide fascinating insights into Chagga culture, village life, and the local flora and fauna. With a bit of luck, you might even catch a glimpse of the majestic summit of Mount Kilimanjaro against the stunning backdrop.
Next, you’ll partake in a coffee tour where you’ll learn about the coffee-making process and have the opportunity to prepare your own coffee. Afterward, you’ll return to Arusha or head to the airport, concluding your visit.
