Day 1

On the first day of your safari adventure, our company representative/guide will greet you at the airport or your hotel in Nairobi. They will provide a comprehensive briefing about the safari, ensuring you are well-prepared and informed for the journey ahead.

As you embark on your expedition to Lake Nakuru National Park, you will be treated to a picturesque drive spanning approximately three to four hours. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to marvel at the breathtaking sights of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. You will be at the hotel for lunch.

Later in the day, you will embark on an exhilarating game drive within Lake Nakuru National Park. Known for its spectacular population of migrating flamingoes and over 350 other species of birds, the park provides a birdwatcher's paradise. Additionally, the park serves as a vital sanctuary for the endangered black and white rhino species. As the day draws to a close, you will retire to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara National Reserve

After an early breakfast, you will check out and leave Lake Nakuru for Masai Mara, a five-hour drive. En route, you will enjoy a game drive.

Upon arrival, you will check in and have lunch. You will embark on a game drive in the Masai Mara in the afternoon until sunset. The Masai Mara National Reserve features stunning and diverse landscapes, welcoming people, and a wide variety of wildlife. The reserve is famous for hosting the epic Great Wildebeest Migration, which welcomes over 1.5 million wildebeest onto its sprawling savannahs each July through October.

Later, you will return to the camp for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 3

Full-day Game Drives in Masai Mara National Reserve

You will begin the day with an early breakfast followed by a full day in the reserve. You will have a picnic lunch break along the Mara River. The Masai Mara plains are filled with wildebeest during the migration season. Zebras, impalas, topis, giraffes, and Thomson's gazelles are commonly seen, as well as leopards, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, jackals, and bat-eared foxes. Black rhinos are rare to spot, but you might see them from a distance if you are lucky. Hippos and enormous Nile crocodiles are abundant in the Mara River, waiting for a meal as the wildebeest cross on their annual quest in search of new pastures.

Later, in the evening, you will return to the accommodation for a guided nature walk in a wildlife conservation area with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. Following the nature walk, you will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

As part of your adventure, you will kick-start your day with a delightful early morning breakfast. Following this, you will receive packed lunch boxes as you head towards the Tanzanian border post at Isebania. At the border post, you will be greeted by our Tanzanian liaison, who will facilitate your smooth transfer to the Serengeti. Brace yourself for a long but awe-inspiring drive, offering breathtaking scenery that will leave an indelible impression.

As you progress deeper into the Serengeti, you will understand its name's significance, which translates to 'endless plains' in the local language. This remarkable region serves as the habitat for the Great Migration, boasting a population of 1.5 million wildebeest, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and various types of antelopes.

As the day draws to a close, you will be warmly welcomed at Africa Safari Maasai Boma (Maasai Safari Hut), where you will check in and unwind after a rewarding day of exploration.

Day 5

Full-day in Serengeti National Park

Full-day in Serengeti National Park

You will spend the entire day in Serengeti National Park. We are completely flexible and will organize the day according to your preferences. Your guide will discuss the best timings for activities such as daily game drives and wake-up times. For example, on this day, you could start with a morning game drive, return to the camp for lunch and relaxation, and then go for an afternoon game drive. Alternatively, you could opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch.

Serengeti is famous for hosting the annual Great Migration and is also home to diverse wildlife; therefore, expect to encounter Africa's Big Five (buffalo, rhino, elephant, lion, and leopard). Other wildlife include cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas, warthogs, and jackals.

Then, after the game drive, you return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the 260km² (100mi²) Ngorongoro Crater to view the game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor. You will find the Big Five and other animals here. The Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and is surrounded by steep walls rising 600m (2,00ft) from the floor. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. You will have a picnic lunch at the hippo pool and later arrive at your lodge in the Karatu area for sunset, dinner, and an overnight stay.

After enjoying your breakfast, you will check out and visit the Mto wa Mbu village for one hour. The village is unique, home to around 120 cultural groups, creating a rich tapestry of languages and customs in Tanzania. This visit will provide a break from the Northern Safari Circuit activities and allow you to experience the local culture. After that, you proceed to Arusha Airport for your departure.
