After your morning breakfast you will proceed to the airport whether Zanzibar airport or Dar es Salaam airport for your flight to Nyerere National Park formally knows us Selous Game Reserve. The name of the Park is given in honor of the founder of the Nation, the Late Mwalimu Julius Kambarage Nyerere. With its largest wilderness area in Africa, Nyerere National park has relatively undisturbed ecological and biological processes, including diverse range of wildlife with significant predator and prey relationship. The park is very famous place for lions, elephants, rhinos and hippopotamus that are attracted by Rufiji River that flows through the reserve. It is also a home to over 350 species of birds and reptiles. Visiting this park will give you a great opportunity to different activities including boating safaris, walking safaris and game drives.

Awakening with the wild, sunrise boat safari then fly out

Wake up in the morning and everything is settled up for the morning ride which is best for birding and catching a few animals and the sunrise. The morning boat ride will give you a chance to see the various bird species like the Goliath Heron, Boehm’s Bee-eater, African Fish Eagle, Malachite Kingfisher and the African skimmer among others and the afternoon ride will be the best time to get a close of the crocodiles in the water due to the rise in temperature.

Later you enjoy an enroute game heading to the airstrip for your departure.
