You will be warmly picked up from your Arusha hotel and transferred to the Momella Gate of Arusha National Park, where we’ll assist you through all the necessary pre-climb formalities.
Your adventure begins with a guided hike through the open grasslands of the park, accompanied by an experienced armed ranger. This unique experience offers incredible opportunities to encounter wildlife in their natural habitat, with sightings of elephants, giraffes, buffalo, monkeys, and much more along the way.
As the day progresses, you’ll transition into the lush rainforest, where you’ll be surrounded by the serenity of nature. For the evening, you’ll settle into the cozy Miriakamba Huts, where you can relax and reflect on the first exciting day of your climb.

Today’s journey takes you from the vibrant lushness of the rainforest into the strikingly beautiful heath zone, where the terrain transforms into a landscape of giant heather and scattered moorland shrubs.
As you hike along the ridge of Mount Meru Crater, you’ll be treated to awe-inspiring views of the crater itself and the dramatic Ash Tray—a sight that’s truly unforgettable.
For those seeking an additional adventure, there’s the exciting option to ascend Little Mount Meru. From its peak, you’ll enjoy a sweeping panoramic view of Arusha and its breathtaking surroundings, a perfect reward for the day’s effort.

Today’s adventure begins in the stillness of the night, with an early start around midnight to embark on your ascent to the summit of Mount Meru.
The trail is steep and challenging, taking you through the unique volcanic landscapes of Rhino Point and Cobra Point before reaching the iconic Socialist Point. Here, you’ll be rewarded with a truly breathtaking sunrise, illuminating the sweeping vistas of Arusha and the surrounding landscapes—a moment that will stay with you forever.
After savoring the summit’s beauty, you’ll begin your descent back to the Miriakamba Huts, where you’ll spend the night. This well-deserved rest will give you time to reflect on the day’s extraordinary accomplishments and recharge for the journey ahead.

This morning’s hike is a gentle descent through the enchanting rainforest, leading you back to the Momella Gate. Here, you’ll be warmly greeted by your Safari Nuggets driver, who will transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha.
The remainder of the day is yours to unwind, reflect on your incredible achievement, and celebrate your successful summit. Whether you choose to relax at your accommodation or explore Arusha, this is the perfect opportunity to savor the memories of your adventure.
As you prepare for the next leg of your journey, whether heading back home or continuing to the idyllic Zanzibar Islands for an extended escape (available at an additional cost), we’re here to assist in making every detail seamless and memorable.
