Depart from Nairobi around 6:00 AM for a scenic 5-6 hour drive to Samburu, passing through picturesque landscapes along the way. Arriving at Ashnil Aruba Camp by early afternoon, you’ll check-in, enjoy a delicious lunch, and have some time to relax. In the late afternoon, embark on an exciting game drive from 4:00 PM to 6:30 PM, where you’ll have the chance to spot the region’s unique wildlife, including the Samburu Special Five—Grevy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, and Beisa oryx.

Day 2

On Day 2, you’ll start your day with a sunrise game drive at 6:00 AM, taking advantage of the cooler morning hours when wildlife is most active. Afterward, return to the camp for breakfast and a bit of rest. You’ll then enjoy a relaxing lunch at the camp, followed by an optional visit to a nearby Samburu village, where you can learn about the local culture and way of life. In the late afternoon, you’ll head out for another evening game drive, capturing the stunning sunset and more opportunities to observe wildlife before returning to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
