Arusha to Tarangire national park

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from your base, typically Arusha. Upon arrival at Tarangire, you’ll embark on your first game drive. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife, including lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and numerous bird species. Your guide will navigate through various habitats, from open savannahs to riverine forests, ensuring you get the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Around midday, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch in a designated area within the park, where you can relax and take in the stunning surroundings. After lunch, continue your exploration of Tarangire, possibly visiting the Tarangire River, which attracts animals from all around the park, especially during the dry season. In the late afternoon, head to your accommodation for a well-deserved rest. Enjoy dinner reflecting on the day’s adventures.

Lake Manyara national park

After an early breakfast, set off for Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara is known for its diverse ecosystems, which include groundwater forests, acacia woodlands, and the alkaline lake itself. Upon entering the park, you’ll begin your game drive, where you can expect to see a variety of wildlife such as elephants, hippos, buffaloes, and if you’re lucky, the famous tree-climbing lions. The park is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 400 species, including flamingos, pelicans, and storks. Midway through the day, enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the park’s designated spots, often with a beautiful view of the lake. After lunch, continue your exploration, perhaps visiting the hot springs or the hippo pool. In the late afternoon, you’ll start your journey back to Arusha, bringing your two-day safari to a close. This brief but enriching adventure through Tarangire and Lake Manyara will leave you with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s incredible wildlife and landscapes.
