You will be met at Kilimanjaro Airport by a Wayfairer representative, who will then take you to your resort in Arusha, where you will stay one night. You are free to stroll around the busy city center this afternoon. Arusha is a fascinating city with bustling marketplaces selling fruit, vegetables, fish, and meat in addition to contemporary office buildings, five-star hotels, and upscale coffee shops.

In the city center, you'll see ladies in vibrantly colored clothes either sitting on the side of the road selling large avocados or cooking corn on the cob over a fire, or strolling along the streets with enormous baskets on their heads. Maasai males can be seen strolling around in their traditional shukas.

Day 2

Your guide will meet you after breakfast and drive you to Tarangire National Park (journey time approximately three to four hours).
As Tarangire is a seasonal park, the best time to come is during the extended dry season, which runs from June to October, when the park offers amazing chances to see wildlife. All of the major African wildlife, including enormous herds of elephants gathered around riverbanks and waterholes, is something you can anticipate seeing. Large numbers of zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, buffalo, eland, impala, and warthog can be seen as they look for water due to the high concentration of game. Around the rivers and waterholes, lions and spotted hyenas accompany the fauna, providing excellent game viewing. Tarangire is home to several lions and leopards, although the majority of cheetahs are found in the south's open plains.

Day 3

On Safari in Lake Manyara National Park

On Safari in Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will be driven to Lake Manyara National Park located beneath the cliffs of the Manyara Escarpment, on the edge of the Rift Valley.

The alkaline soda of Lake Manyara, which covers 230 square km, attracts pink flamingos and other birdlife. You’ll also see resident hippo pods at the lake.

The park is known for its tree-climbing lions, and you may be lucky enough to spot leopards and hyenas. You can also expect to see are large herds of elephants, wildebeests, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, warthogs and impalas. There’s also a huge primate population including the common monkey, vervet monkey and baboons.
You’ll leave Lake Manyara just before sunset and head to your lodge in Karatu for dinner.

The Ngorongoro Crater is a unique natural phenomenon and it has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s undoubtedly one of the most breathtaking wildlife safari sites in the world with a backdrop of the 600m/1968ft high crater wall, and it offers incredible wildlife viewing opportunities.

A visit to the Ngorongoro Crater is an experience of a lifetime! You can expect to see an abundance of wildlife, including buffalo, warthog, wildebeest, zebra, hippo and elephant. There’s also a huge population of predators - lion, hyena, jackal, cheetah and leopard. The resident population of black rhino is a real treat, as they’re very difficult to spot elsewhere in Tanzania.

Before sunset, you will check in to a beautiful camp on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater offering phenomenal views.

After breakfast, you’ll leave Ngorongoro and drive to the Serengeti, Tanzania’s most famous national park, where you'll spend the following two nights.

The Serengeti offers some of the best wildlife viewings in Africa and it is home to the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth - the Great Migration. Every year, over 2.5 million wildebeests migrate from the Serengeti National Park to the Masai Mara Reserve in Kenya.

If you're visiting at the right time, you’ll see herds of wildebeest and zebra stretching to the horizon.

On the second day, you’ll have the opportunity for a morning and afternoon game drive on the vast plains of the Serengeti where you’ll spot an abundance of African wildlife. This spectacular national park offers amazing wildlife viewing opportunities and it’s highly likely that you’ll see zebra, impala, Grants gazelle, wildebeest, buffalo, rhino and elephant. You'll also see lions, cheetahs and leopards.

You can also choose from a variety of adventure sports, such as windsurfing, kite surfing, sea kayaking, mountain biking, hiking, and bird viewing. The island boasts amazing coral reefs that are ideal for diving and snorkeling. If you're lucky, you might even spot dolphins, green turtles, and whale sharks during specific seasons of the year.
