Johannesburg to the Sekekama Tented Camp – Afternoon Sunset Drive

Guests make their own way to the OR Tambo Airport for departure.
Embark on an exhilarating safari adventure by departing from OR Tambo International Airport at 07h00. Traverse the picturesque landscapes of the Highveld and Lowveld in Mpumalanga, arriving at Sekekama Tented Camp by approximately 14h00.

Take a moment to refresh before diving into the excitement of an afternoon sunset game drive within the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon Reserve aboard an open safari vehicle. Keep a keen eye out for the iconic Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo) as well as other fascinating wildlife like giraffes, zebras, and hippos. Conclude the day with sundowners in the bush, followed by dinner and storytelling around the boma fire back at the camp.

Open Vehicle Safari Drive in the Kruger National Park

Your second day offers 2 options; an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast en route and an earlier return, or a leisurely breakfast at the lodge before departing and returning later.

Departure times will be communicated the night before, allowing flexibility based on current animal activity for optimal game viewing.

Spend approximately 7 to 8 hours on a safari in Kruger, exploring the Orpen-Satara area for a heightened chance of encountering lions. Return to the camp, where you can unwind before a starlit dinner by the fire.

Alternatively, you can opt for a full-day Panorama Route tour along this exhilarating and iconic route. You’ll encounter unforgettable landmarks including Berlin Falls, God’s Window, The Pinnacle, 3 Rondawels, and Blyde River Canyon.

Your Panorama Route or Kruger Safari Co experience will last 7 to 8 hours, allowing you to return to the camp with plenty of time to relax by the fire before dinner.
