Upon arrival in Nairobi, our representative will pick you at the airport and transfer you to the Ole Sereni hotel for overnight. For early morning arrivals the Safari can kick off on arrival. Any other arrangements can be made upon request prior to arrival.

Day 2

Nairobi to Nanyuki

Nairobi to Nanyuki

After breakfast, you will be picked by our safari driver ready for the safari. Drive from Nairobi to Nanyuki. You will be at the Sweetwaters Serena Camp just before lunch. The afternoon will be filled with lots of experiences as you will have an opportunity to visit and even feed the tamed Black rhino in Ol Pejeta conservancy. Black rhinos are naturally very aggressive and this might be the only chance you come across a friendly one. You will also visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, the only place these endangered and incredibly intelligent primates can be found in Kenya. The sanctuary provides a haven for orphaned and abused chimpanzees that enjoy roaming freely in their vast natural enclosure. You will then return to your camp at dusk for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Nanyuki to Nakuru

Nanyuki to Nakuru

At the floor of the Rift Valley lies Lake Nakuru surrounded by the woodlands and bushes that make up the park. The drive to Nakuru is roughly 3 hours hence you will be in Nakuru in time for lunch. The afternoon will be filled with adventure a you tour the various attractions within the park. Lake Nakuru derives its name from the Masai word "Enakuro" which means cloud of dust. It is home to many herbivores including Rothschild's giraffe, buffalo, hippo, gazelle and nearly 55 mammals including lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, rock hyraxes and reedbuck. Lake Nakuru National Park is famous for hosting both white and black rhinoceros, reintroduced after many years of absence. You will cherish the panoramic views of the lake from the Baboon cliff. At an extra cost you can experience the pink coloured shores of the lake on a boat ride offered by locals. You will thereafter return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

After Breakfast, the safari driver will drive you from the lake region to the famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. You will have some time to check in and settle as you prepare for the awe-inspiring Mara adventure. Lunch will be served after which you will depart for an afternoon game drive. In the Maa language, Mara means "spotted" and may refer to the colourful landscapes. Alternatively, the name may refer to the arrival of over two million herbivores during the annual migration (wildebeest, gazelles and zebras). Expect large herds of elephants, Giraffes, Thompsons Gazelles, Kirks' dikdik among other major mammals. The amazing horizons will force you to go back to the lodge as the sun sets. Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Mara Camp.

Day 5

Maasai Mara National Reserve

Balloon safari in the Masai Mara(optional), a magical experience as you take in a bird's eye view of the vast, rolling plains below you. This unique and exhilarating excursion takes place early in the morning when you can marvel at the fantastic sight of the rising sun and gently float over the thousands of animals below you. This will be followed with a champagne breakfast after which you leave for a morning game drive till lunch hour. You will have some time to relax and then picked for an afternoon game drive. This is the best time to spot wildlife as well as enjoy the peaceful vistas and crisp, clear air. Undisturbed by your presence, the animals will continue with their daily activities as you snap away and marvel at the beauty of Africa. After exploring the better part of the Mara you will head back to the camp for dinner and overnight. (Cultural groups can be invited at the camp for evening entertainment at an extra cost).

This will be the last day of your trip. After breakfast, you will drive from the Mara past the Maasai villages where a cultural visit (optional) can be organised. You will have a chance to interact with the traditional communities and even have a tip of how to make the signature Maasai jump. You will drive to Nairobi with a stopover in Narok. You will be dropped at the Airport for your flight.
