Olpopongi Village Tour

On the first day of our cultural tour, our driver will pick you up from the airport/hotel in Arusha then drive you to Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village & Museum - the first authentic Maasai Boma with Maasai Museum & overnight facilities in Tanzania. This gem is located in the West Kilimanjaro region, just 74 km from Moshi and 85 km from Arusha.
Depending on the season, you will see game like zebras and giraffes on your way to the village. On a clear day, you will have amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with refreshments from village representatives followed by a short tour then fresh, cooked lunch.
Enjoy a unique Maasai culture & walking tour with an experienced English speaking Maasai guide at Olpopongi and remember your visit at Olpopongi will support local Maasai families with water, food, employment, personal income, medical treatments, and education.
In the evening, you will have a buffet dinner and overnight at the village.

Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour

Enjoy an early morning breakfast at Olpopongi, before you say goodbye to this lovely village. After breakfast, our guide will drive you to Materuni, a Chagga village in Kilimanjaro.
Our adventure begins with a hike to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, wear sturdy hiking boots to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. The scenic views are breathtaking, and if you're lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of Kilimanjaro's majestic summit. The highlight of the trail is the stunning waterfall, towering over 80 meters high, where you'll have the opportunity to take a refreshing plunge in the natural pools. Next, we'll visit a local farm to learn about the rich history and culture of Tanzania's coffee industry.
After this amazing cultural experience and traditional lunch at Materuni village, we'll relax with a drive to the airport for drop off.
