Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, our driver guide will meet you for a brief orientation before heading to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park, which follows the Tarangire River, is characterized by low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation consists mainly of acacia woodland and giant African baobab trees, with extensive swamp areas in the south. During Tanzania's dry season, the river and swamps attract a plethora of wildlife. Tarangire National Park is renowned for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa and is home to three rare species: the greater kudu, the fringed-eared oryx, and the ashy starling. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch and continue the game drive until late evening. Afterwards, you'll drive to the Karatu Safari Camp for an overnight stay.
